Chapter 27: The New Addition

The unknown person clears his throat again.

Ahem...

I jump off from on top of Mattia, breaking the intense physical and emotional connection.

"Hey, Josh..." Mattia says, trying to act as normal as possible.

"Wassup, Matti." This Josh person says.

"Umm Y/N, this is Josh Richards, our new friend..."

"Hiii.." I say, forcing myself to get up and shake his hand.

"Hey" he stands there, smiling with his white teeth. "Um.. I didn't mean to interrupt, I was looking for Ale... Kai and I broke something downstairs..."

"He's outside.." I answer, "I'll go get him."

And with that, I run out of the room.

-15 minutes later-

"Okay, but if we do this it'll make it better." Kai says, as he and the boys were making TikToks.

Robert and I were currently the only ones sitting out.

"Why do they have to make so manyyy?" I ask Robert, whining.

"It's so they can choose which one is better."

As I'm listening to him explain why, Mattia keeps making eye contacts with me, only lasting for a second before he's asked something again.

I guess I must of got lost, because then Robert asks me-

"So, are you and Mattia a thing?" in an attempted whisper, but still manages to get everyones attention.

The room goes silent; everyones eyes on me.

"No, we aren't." Mattia interrupts...

I-

"But, if she'll let me, I'd like to take her out on a date," he continues, but directs this one mostly towards me.

Everyones eyes on me once again.

I begin to feel butterflies, wanting to answer but can't. "Matti...."

His face begins to fall, a frown forming on his lips.

"I would love to." I continue, smiling at him.

His head raises quickly, "Really?!"

I nod my head yes.

The next thing I know he's running over to me, wrapping my head in his arms.

-30 minutes later-

"Let's get something to eat, I'm starvinggg" Kai says.

"I'm too tireddddd" I whine.

"Just chill here , we'll go get something," Ale replies

As they were getting ready to leave, Mattia interrupted, "I could stay here with you.."

"It's okay, I'll be fine."

He looks at me sadly, but I push him out.

"Goooo" I laugh as I shut Ale's front door.

I go hang out upstairs, feeling awkward to just hang out downstairs.

-15 minutes later-

As I'm on facetime with Vic, who went home earlier because of an argument Ale and her got in, I hear a phone ding.

"Was that you?" I ask her.

"Nope, you?"

"Me neither.." I say, before another notification goes off.

I realize it's coming from inside the room, so I set up my phone to show the whole room, and look around.

"Down there," Vic says, "under the chair."

Mattia's phone? He must of forgot it.

"Its just Mattia's" I tell her, before placing on the dresser.

"Oh" she says, "wonder who was texting him.."

"I don't know, but it's not my business." I say.

We go back to talking before he gets two more notifications.

"Omg, put it on silentttt" Vic whines.

As I go to do so, I accidentally read his screen:

Jenna? As in his ex....

Authors note: Hey guys! Sorry for a really late update; I've been caught up with a ton of school work, but I'm trying to update more. Anyways, let me know if you guys want Jenna to be a small little argument topic or for her to be a bigger problem in the story. (Disclaimer: No hate for Jenna, I think she's pretty and vv nice.
