Matt: Hey Riley, call me back. Something happened to Tyler.

Even without calling him, without really having to think about it, she knew it was Damon. They all did. Of course, it had probably been Sybil's idea, but Damon was the one who stuck his teeth into the werewolf's neck. Damon was the one who killed Tyler Lockwood.

The group (minus Bonnie, who was trying to find a way to force Enzo to turn his humanity back on) gathered with Tyler's coffin in the middle of the Mystic Falls cemetery.

"I can't even remember our last conversation," Caroline said sadly, staring at the coffin. "I should have called him more. I should have made sure that we still kept in touch."

Riley rubbed her sister's shoulder. "None of us could have predicted this," she reminded her. "This is all sirens, and mind control, and-"

"Damon?" Caroline cut her off, raising an eyebrow. "Riles, whatever way you look at it... Damon's the enemy right now."

Riley wanted to disagree, and if it was any other moment, she would have. But, seeing the guys carrying Tyler's coffin, she couldn't bring herself to make excuses for this. Tyler was their friend, he was one of them. And now, because of the creature in the Armory, he was gone.

As they laid the coffin down, there was a quiet shuffle of footsteps. Turning quickly, they saw Damon standing behind them. For a second, each of them thought that he might have come to admit what he did, or to apologize. But from the look on his face, they knew that this wasn't a friendly visit.

"I was wondering when you guys were gonna show up," he informed them, smirking. On instinct, Stefan grabbed a shovel, taking a few steps towards his brother. "I gotta admit, I got a little carried away about the whole ripping-the-throat-out thing. My apologies to Donovan. I'm sure you cleaned him up real nice." Stefan used his knee to snap the shovel, causing the wood to form a make-shift stake. Damon raised an eyebrow. "What are you gonna do with that? Stake me? Just remember, brother, underestimating me is what got Tyler killed." Before any of them could react, Damon vamp-ran towards Matt and grabbed him tightly. Then he bit his wrist, and force-fed the human his blood. "Don't move or I'll snap his neck. Give Matt here a non-transferrable invitation to our supernatural breakfast club."

Caroline stepped forward, her face contorted with worry and anger. "Damon, enough!"

Damon turned to her, a sinister grin on his face. "How many innocent people did you kill on your 'no humanity' bender? Doesn't matter what you say or don't. The devil knows what you did."

Ric frowned in confusion, struggling to recognize the guy that was once his best friend. "What's happened to you? You're different."

Still holding Matt tightly, Damon's smile didn't falter. "Professor Ric Saltzman, everyone! Certified genius. Knows you better than you know yourself!"

Finally, Riley had enough.

"Damon, just stop!" she told him harshly. His smile wavered, until it fell from his face completely. "Look, you made your point; Tyler's dead because of you. So leave. Nobody wants you here."

He looked into her eyes, and for half a second he lost sight of why he was doing this. But then he remembered Sybil's demands, and her constant control over him, and he knew that he had to keep going.

He looked around at all of them. "You all despise me, right? I killed Tyler, you hate my guts, our ties are severed?" He waited for one of them to disagree, and smiled when no one did. "Great. If you thought there was any remaining opportunity to rescue me, let this prove you wrong."

Later in the Grill, they were all (minus Matt) discussing Damon.
