-Brooke-

"What's up guys it's Sam and Colby," Colby started the video.

"Tody we're here with Jake, and Brooke," Sam introduced Jake and I into the video. Colby had his arm around me smiling. I was grinning as I waved to the camera. Jake did a few poses before saying hi to the camera and we laughed.

"Today we're here at a location that a fan sent us, it's this haunted house in San Diego. Or supposedly haunted. We're here to find out whether it is or not," Colby explained, removing his arm from my shoulders and clapping. He looked at Sam to continue.

"From what we read online, the reason this house was haunted was because of the family that lived here," Sam paused to pull out his notes on his phone. "It was a family of 4, two parents and two kids. An older brother, and a little sister. The dad was an abusive alcoholic, and was specifically abusive to his kids. When the brother was 12 years old, his father hit him over the head with a beer bottle, and the kid died from the impact."

"Holy shit," I said.

"Yeah, this is brutal, it gets worse," Sam told me, then looked at his notes. "The mom, in order to escape the torment her husband was giving, poisoned her daughter's food, and after her daughter died, she hung herself in the master bathroom of the house."

"What about the dad?" Colby asked, disgust written on his face.

"It doesn't say, though people have mentioned rumors that he ran away to escape arrest," Sam confirmed. Jake peered over Sam's shoulder to read the notes.

"Supposedly the ghost most common to be seen is the daughter and her brother. But if you find yourself in the master bathroom you might find yourself feeling a similar despair that the wife did," Jake read, then looked between Sam and Colby with wide eyes.

"Hey boys, I think I should...leave," I chuckled nervously trying to walk away. Colby chuckled and wrapped his arms around me, leaving me trapped.

"Don't worry I'll protect you," He told me.

"Oh please, I'll be protecting you," I scoffed. Sam and Jake laughed at that.

After a little bit more explanation, we turned off the camera and started working our way up to the house which was through the forest and in a clearing. It was dark out, so it was hard to see outside, but we managed.

After trecking through the tall grass, and getting smacked in the face by tree branches we found the clearing, in the middle sat the house. Just looking at it gave me chills. It was definitely from a much older time period, judging by the design. But what also told me it was old, was how worn down it was. Vines were creeping up the bricks of the house, a lot of which were scattered over the lawn, through years of just sitting there not being used. The windows had no glass in them, but I could still see curtains hanging inside, which kept scaring me, making me think people were at the windows. It was around 2 stories, but small in length. I imagine that the family wouldn't have been able to fit anymore than four people inside.

The front door was barricaded shut and I wondered how we were going to get in. Colby looked at the camera which Sam was holding.

"So we found it, supposedly in order to get in you have to go around the back, there's an easily accessible window on the lower floor that will get us inside to the area the kitchen would have been," Colby explained, answering my unasked question.

"Just be careful, sometimes small animals will get inside, like racoons or even just stray cats, we have to keep an eye out," Sam warned.

"Awesome, let's do it," Jake said, strangely enthusiastic. We all started walking around the back, watching our step and keeping an eye out for anyone, or anything that might be around. I had a grip on Colby's sleeve as we walked around, the sounds I kept hearing from the forest were freaking me out, even if I knew it was just animals scurrying about. I didn't like hearing what I couldn't see.
