{13} One Big Happy Family

Story Summary: Anne and Gilbert are parents to two children that are twins named Amy and Mary

It was a wonderful day in Avonlea as Anne was preparing supper for her family while Amy and Mary were playing outside with Diana and Jerry's kids Tim and Kayla.

As supper was ready anne went outside to get the kids,

"Kids supper ready!" Yelled Anne as she screamed at the top of her lungs for her kids to come eat

"Yay! Are you guys staying for dinner?" Asked Amy

"No mother fixing supper at home so we better get going," Said Kayla as she was fixing her fancy blue dress that Diana wore when she was Kayla age

Mary and Amy frown

"Awww why can't you stay a little longer?" Asked Mary as she shook her best friends arm

"I'm sure Diana wouldn't mind," said Anne

Then all the sudden Diana showed up

"Mother!" Said both Tim and Kayla as they'd an to Diana

"Hello there darlings, Anne Jerry needed Gilbert's help so we decided why not eat dinner with you guys,"

"Yay!" Said all four of the kids as they ran inside making there mother's chuckle

"Gilbert will be home any minute why don't you guys find a seat and make yourself at home," said Anne as she took Diana coat And hung it in the coat rack

"Thank you," said Diana as she went to find a seat along side Jerry

After a few minutes Gilbert came through the door

"Sorry I got held back at the office for a while but now I'm here," said Gilbert

Anne turned around

"Gilbert I think Jerry needs your help," said Anne

"Can't I eat first?" Asked Gilbert as he laughed

"No need Diana and Jerry are already here," said Anne as she pointed to the family room with a spoon in her hand while smiling

Gilbert looked Into the family room and waved

"Well let's eat," said Anne as she walked into the family room with a chicken pot pie in her hands and set it down

"It's great to have the family here," said Anne as she smiled
