Story summary: Charlie Compliments Anne but  Gilbert has a crush on Anne and Gilbert gets jealous about the whole thing claims Anne is his which gets everyone confused

Everyone was at Miss Stacys house prepping for the queens entrance exams. After the school house has burned down school has been cancelled except for study group. Anne was talking with Gilbert that was until moody brought up the name Winifred

"So are you getting engaged?" Asked moody

Gilbert looks at moody and nods his head

"I'm assuming but I'm not sure," said Gilbert as he placed his focus on his book after he looked up at moody "why do you ask?"

Charlie steps in

"Hey Anne you look wonderful today," said Charlie

Anne looked at Charlie and smiled

"Thank yo-"

"Why thank you Charlie I'm flattered that you said that about me," said Gilbert

"Um I was talking to anne not you."

"Listen here pal, I do not have plans to marry winifred, and I surely need you to leave Anne alone," said Gilbert

Everyone around them froze. Even Anne

"Gilbert I was only kidding, I know you like her," said Charlie

"Geez you didn't have to do that," laughed moody

"Well I felt like I need to.." said Gilbert

Everyone laughed while Gilbert sat next to anne holding her hand

"Gilbert.. do you really like me?" Asked Anne

Gilbert loathed

"Of course Anne, who wouldn't," said Gilbert

Anne blushes the girls take notice

"Ooh Anne's blushing!" Said Josie

"I totally ship you guys," said Tillie

"When you two get married can j be the bridesmaids?" Asked Jane

Everyone laughed until they heard a sniffle

"What's the matter Ruby?" Asked Anne

"This is just so beautiful," said ruby as she cried into janes shoulder making Jane flinch

"Oh ruby let's get you sorted out," said Jane as she patted ruby in the shoulder

Anne and Gilbert looked at each other blushing crazily

(Funny fact I saw my elementary school crush a year ago and this is what happened 😂😂😂)
