Tonight was the night of the New Years Eve party at Billy's house and he has apparently invited the whole school, Anne didn't want to go but Diana and ruby all forced her to go

"Anne come on! We don't have much time," said ruby as she dragged one of Anne's arm to get her off the bed, Ruby was dressed in a red dress that went to her knees and had a cris cross strap behind her and she had her hair curled,

"Ruby I told you I'm not going," said Anne ruby looked at Anne and her books

"So your telling me that your spending New Year's Eve studying?" Asked Diana Anne nodded making the two girls roll there eyes

"It won't be fun without you, who knows Gilbert might be there," said Ruby as she fluttered her eyes while she sat on Anne's bed

"Fine I'll go but I'm not staying long," said Anne as she got up and headed towards the door ruby and Diana stopped her

"There's no way your going to a party dressed like that," said Diana Anne rolled her eyes

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Asked Anne as she motioned to her black athletic shorts and a sweatshirt along with her hair in a messy bun

"It's hideous!" Said ruby Anne rolled her eyes again and left

When they arrived at the New Year's Eve party Anne walked in with Diana and ruby, Jane and Tillie along with Josie walked up to them, Josie looked down at Anne

"Anne what are you wearing?" Asked Josie Anne who was on her phone looked up

"My studying outfit why?" Asked Anne as she laid back attention to her phone Diana snatched the phone away

"We are here to have a fun night not have a study party," said Diana Anne sighed and snatched her phone back and looked at it

"Maybe you're right I mean your in college once why not live it," said Anne as she placed her phone in her shorts pocket

A few hours into the party and Anne was tired of it so she went outside to where half of the people were standing outside waiting for the fireworks to start, when all the sudden she bumped into a boy

"Oh I'm sorry," said the boy Anne shook it off

"It's fine," said Anne then the boy turned around

"Anne?!" Asked Gilbert Anne turned to the boy confused when all the sudden he looked familiar

"Gilbert!" Said Anne as she hugged Gilbert, while they were hugging everyone started to countdown from 5 to 1 and when they got to 1 Anne and Gilbert looked at each other and kissed

When the two were in highschool they dated briefly, until Gilbert got a girlfriend that was controlling

When they pulled away Gilbert looked at Anne and apologized

"I'm sorry it just.."

"Happened yea it's fine," said Anne then they pulled away and looked at each other again

"I'm sorry for what happened in highschool," said Gilbert

"Oh it's fine, I mean you liked Myckenzie so I don't blame you," said Anne

"Anne I want things to go back to normal," said Gilbert

"I do to Gilbert but.... I just need a little more time," said Anne as she walked away
