Since Nine Book 3: Shattered

Bago ang lahat...

Patalastas muna bago ko ilagay ang last few chapters. Pagbigyan nyo na ako. Since hindi niyo naman yata binabasa ang mga message ng NDRRMC, ako na lang ang magsasabi ng weather forecast. Ayon sa PAGASA, magkakaroon ng pabugso- bugsong damdamin at panaka-nakang kilig na pinapalakas ng super typhoon na si Landi. Kaya ibayong pag-iingat ang gawin para hindi matangay ng mga paasa. Itanikala ang inyong mga puso at huwag maging marupok.

Kidding aside, gusto ko kayong pasalamatan sa patuloy nyong pagsubaybay sa kwento nina Ramcel at Victoria. Maraming nagalit at nahigh blood pero alam kong gusto nyo yang mga ganyang sakitan. I am hoping that you learned something from this roller coaster ride.

I know a lot of you don’t like Victoria. Personally sya ang pinakapaborito ko sa lahat dahil para sa akin she’s an example of us. Human. Nagkakamali, nasasaktan, lumalaban, nagmamahal at natututo. Sabi nga ng quote na nabasa ko galing kay Unknown (ginoogle ko pala), “Everyone makes mistakes in life, but that doesn’t mean they have to pay for them the rest of their life. Sometimes good people make bad choices, it doesn’t mean they are bad. It means they are human.”

Galing ni Unknown di ba? Gusto ko syang makilala minsan at makakwentuhan habang nagsa-samgyupsal o kaya habang nakapila sa pagbili ng milktea.

There, I hope may natutunan din kayo sa mga stories ko bukod sa pagkain ng chicken wings at cheesy ensaymada.

Writing is a hobby. Bata palang ako nang mag-umpisa. Same age as Ramcel. Around Grade 4. Nagstart akong gumawa ng komiks kahit stick people lang yung drawing ko. I stopped writing when I started working.

Bumalik ako sa pagsusulat around 2012. My girlfriend encouraged me to write again that time, so I wrote our own story. I published Friendship Ends in Love as a gift for her on our 2nd Anniversary. After that, I left Wattpad. Bumalik ako ulit around November or December 2018 and published Summer of Taking Chances. Another gift for my significant other.

Hindi kasi mawala-wala sa isip ko yung tanong na, what if makalimutan ka ng taong mahal mo? I know, it’s cliché but I have to write it para matahimik na ang isip ko. Hanggang sa magkaroon ng Book 2 (Unwritten). Then may naisip ako ulit kaya nabuo ang Since Nine. I started writing Book 1 around February 2019.  I finished Book 2 last June.

Isang libro lang dapat kaso habang sinusulat ko ang One Friend, dahil nga makulit ang utak ko, naisip ko ng ituloy-tuloy kung anong mangyayari kina Ram at Vi once they grow up. Nabuo na agad ang flow ng kwento nila. Book 1 pa lang, alam ko na kung anong mangyayari sa kanila kaya napapangiti ako sa mga comments. Naisip kong masosorpresa kaya ang mga readers kung saan mapupunta ang kwento? (I hope you were anyway).

Naging escape ko ang pagsusulat. Sinisingit ko sya sa trabaho. Sa callcenter po ako nagwo-work. I write in between calls. Kung walang masyadong tawag, nakakapagsulat ako. Kapag marami naman, konti- konti lang. I don’t do it at home or even during my restdays. Sa work lang talaga ako nagsusulat. 

That explains why it took me a while before I could published Book 3. Pasensya na po sa mga naghintay. Ayoko po sana kayong bitinin nang matagal but I got busy at work. And also, it was my first time writing something like this. May touch ng thriller. I had to be careful. I don’t want to present you something that is half- baked. I’m not sure if I did it right but I’m still learning. I really enjoyed writing Since Nine.

Winning Wattys 2019 came as a surpised. Sabi ko nga sa friend ko, isasali ko ang limang stories ko bilang panggulo. I didn’t expect anything so I was really astonished when I got a message that Since Nine won for Young Adult category. Now, writing is more than just a hobby. It became something more. Reading your reactions made me realized that I could reach out to people through my words.

Dahil sa pagsusulat, nagkaroon ako ng mga kaibigan dito sa Wattpad. Alam nyo na kung sino kayo. Siguraduhin niyong ila-like nyo ang bawat chapter ah. Iche-check ko yan. Haha.

Salamat kay Rome, ang aking jowa :P Mula noon hanggang ngayon lagi kang nakasuporta sa kalokohan ko, kahit minsan nasusungitan kita at hindi pinapansin lalo pag busy ako sa pagsusulat. Siya po ang gumawa ng mga covers ko. Walang exciting twist ang love story namin but for me it’s the best love story ever written (Naks!). Hindi kami perfect. We commit mistakes but we are willing to meet halfway.

Maraming salamat sa mga silent reader. I know you are there. I can see you. Alam ko kung saan kayo nakatira. Charot. Salamat din sa mga followers ko mula noong umpisa pa lang. Kahit nawala ako ng matagal, andyan pa rin kayo. Nadagdagan pa ang mga nabudol ko kaya salamat sa mga nagpabola sakin. Salamat sa pagbabasa mula pa sa kwento nina Pris at Dominique hanggang kina Ramcel at Victoria.

“Thank you for witnessing our journey. Feel free to visit me at the meadow,” Dominique said smiling. “Love, you have to thank them.” She nudged Pris who was hungrily looking at the perfectly fried chicken wings cooked by Victoria.

“Thanks guys,” Pris said distractedly. “Can I have one more?” She asked Victoria, who nodded.

“Thank you for staying with us. Few more chapters are left so stay tuned!” Victoria grinned. “Baby, your turn,” she turned to Ramcel.

“Why do I have to thank them? Ginusto nila yan,” masungit na sabi ni Ramcel saka umirap. “Dominique, that’s the last one. That’s mine.” Dominique sighed and half- heartedly gave the heart shaped ensaymada to Ramcel. “Saka bakit ba kain ng kain ang mga characters dito? Kumakain pa rin habang nagpapasalamat?”

Pris nodded agreeing. She couldn’t talk because she was busy munching her chicken.

“Ang dami pang sinasabi ng author nato. Naiinip na yang mga yan. I’m sure hindi naman nila binabasa to. Tapusin mo na,” Ramcel added frowning.

“Ram!” Saway ni Victoria.

Dominique shook her head.

Ang sungit di ba? Salamat sa inyong lahat. Salamat sa mga comments. Huwag na po kayong mahighblood. Mahal ang Calcibloc. Thank you sa likes at sa pagfollow.
