Youra sucks at make-up and she knew it.

The bruise on her cheek started to show and trying as she could at covering the bruise with concealer and foundation, she failed at it. It was not like a punch bruise. Two of Madam Min's long fingers were leaving an expression. Her left cheek started to feel caked up and she could barely move it without cracking the make-up. She just hope the camera was not that good enough for Jin to see the mark. Without it, she looked like she was in a catfight.

An alert sounded from her laptop and she went to her chair after checking her hair one last time. She decided to cover a part of her face with her hair.

"Youra cutie I miss you!!" exclaimed Jin as their line was connected.

"I miss you too. So how's my boyfriend doing?" she asked looking closely at the screen.

"Doing good. The schedule is not as tight as we were at home. Did you have tutoring just now?"

"No tutoring for tonight. I'm free. Just had my dinner."

"I missed Korean food. I missed your kimchi too."

"You and my kimchi. Do you have any there?"

"Yes we do. The staff brought them over. It's easy to get them here too but it's more expensive."

"Said the man with many digits salary," added Youra.

"Hey, we look for best deals too you know," defended Jin.

"Haha, okay I'm just joking. What's your schedule like today?" she asked.

"We're going out for lunch at noon and we have rehearsal after that. Anyway, are you wearing make-up?" Jin asked all the sudden.

"Well of course I want to look good in front of you," Youra dodged.

"You always look good, babe. I even saw you after you woke up, remember?" Jin said cheekily.

Youra's face turned red. "Yaa, other people might get the wrong idea when you said it like that."

"What wrong idea? Said like what?" he teased.

"Like that," said Youra refusing to elaborate.

"Aww come on, explain please," begged Jin.

"You know what I mean, you tease. If you're here I would just pinch you," said Youra, motioning for a pinch movement.

"Nah, there would be other thing better to do with your hands," Jin smirked, raising his eyebrows cheekily.

"Gosh, what's up with you tonight?" Youra said in disbelief getting redder by the minute.

"What?" Jin asked innocently, blinking his eyes. He burst with laughter seeing Youra's reaction. "I just miss you so much. I wish I could hug you there and never let go."

His words made Youra feel warm. "I miss you too. When will you be back?"

"Early April the earliest, after our tour in California," he said after pausing for a while. "Anyway I got you something," said Jin.

"What did I tell you about getting me something? I just want you to be home safe," said Youra.

"I got you this," said Jin pretending not to hear her. He showed her a shirt with 'I ❤️ Chile' on it.

Youra's eyes widened. She love those shirt. "Now that, I won't decline," admitted Youra. "Thank you!! How did you know I like it?"

"Excuse me, baby. I've seen you wore this I LOVE wherever shirt whenever I went to your house, remember?" Jin stated.

"Oh," Youra smiled sheepishly. She did wear those t-shirt at home. Some she bought when she was travelling and some were given by her friends. Sumi mostly, since she loves to travel for food.

"We can wear this next time we hang out," suggested Jin.

"Of course!" Youra smiled widely and flinched.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Jin asked all the sudden. "And don't say it's nothing. I saw you flinching when you smile and you don't usually wear your hair like that."

Busted, Youra thought. "I just don't want you to worry," she admitted.

"What's wrong?" he asked again.

"Just a small argument with a parent," she said.

"You argued with a parent?" Jin said in disbelief.

"Okay, it was not an argument. A parent came and slapped me today for leading her daughter on. Her words, not mine," said Youra.

"She slapped you? What do you mean by leading her daughter on?" asked Jin in anger.

"She said I made her daughter changed her mind from being a doctor," Youra said weakly.

"You teach middle school. How does that stop her daughter from being a doctor?" Jin's voice went up a notch.

"Can you please cool down? Now this is why I was trying not to tell you about it in the first place," said Youra.

Jin took a deep breath, and left the screen for a while. He returned with a bottle of mineral water and drank it.

"Okay, I'm cooling down. How are you? For real," he asked again.

"I'm fine. A little sore," she said.

"So that's why you are still wearing make-up. Can you please clean it up? I want to really see you," he requested.

"Hold on," said Youra before getting her protable mirror, facial cotton and make-up remover. She sat down and tied her hair up and cleaned her face.

"Your left cheek looks swollen and bruised," said Jin.

"It's a little swollen, yes," she said.

"Have you put ice on it?"

"I did after I got back home but I was a bit late. A colleague helped to put ice pack after the incident but we had to leave for class. I can't be putting ice-pack the whole time I was teaching. That's why you could see the mark." Youra went up and took a bag of frozen vegetables from the fridge. She wrapped it up with a towel and put it on her cheek.

"I wish I could be there with you," Jin said forlornly.

"Don't beat yourself for that, okay? You're working. You're there, I am here, and we still have each other."

"Just promise me something."

"What?"

"If something, anything happen, please tell me about it. Don't hide from me."

"I'll try," replied Youra.

"I want you to promise me," said Jin looking stern.

"Okay, I promise," Youra showed her linked pinky fingers as a sign of promise. "I want you to promise me too," she continued.

"Promise you what?"

"If you get hurt mentally and physically, please tell me. Deal?"

"Deal!"
