Friday night.

Youra reached home late and saw a figure slumped on the bench in front of her house. It was a hot summer night but the person was covered up in a jacket. Youra knew who the person was.

It was Jin.

And he didn't look good.

Youra rushed to his side and touched his cheek. True enough, he was burning up.

"Oppa, wake up. You shouldn't sleep here," coaxed Youra softly.

Jin looked at Youra in daze, "You're home," he smiled weakly.

"Come on, let's get in," Youra stood up and entered her password.

She looked back at him. Jin was holding his head to hold off his dizziness and Youra went to him to hold him up. She helped him in and led him to the sofa.

"Leave the jacket, I'm cold," protested Jin as Youra was trying to get his jacket off.

"You should be resting at home, not come here," Youra said as she hung her jacket and put her things on the coffee table.

"How can I rest when you're not even picking up my call?" Jin sneezed. Youra immediately took the tissue box and put it in front of him. She sat in the single seat sofa and sighed. "Youra baby, please say something," he coaxed.

"I don't know what to say," she buried her face in her hands.

"About the article the agency have already gave out a statement to the press. It was not true," Jin said.

"I saw that," Youra replied.

"Tell me what's wrong. It pains me when we're like this. I'm at loss here. I don't know what to do when you close me off."

"Me closing you off? How about you shutting me off in the first place?" Jin frowned. Youra's voice started to rise and it seems that was the trigger to get her to talk.

"What do you mean?"

"You know, I don't really mind that much when you get too busy with your job to even reply to my messages. But when that article blew off just like that and you kept me stewing for one whole day without any reply... that really pissed me off."

Jin was about to say something but Youra was on a roll.

"I felt stupid for all those messages when you on the other hand didn't reply anything at all. For days! And don't give me the crap about you being busy and all that when I know you talk to your mum every single day! Not that I am jealous of your mum or anything but is it too much to ask to just reply something like, thank you, good night or anything?"

Jin was opening his mouth when Youra signaled her hand to him to stop. She started to stand up and paced in front of the television.

"When that article blew off I felt that I was a complete fool for falling for you who obviously went out with someone else more famous. Heck, you even won the Billboard this year and I'm just a little miss nobody from a farming town who thought she was that someone special for someone who is obviously so famous worldwide. I don't know where I stand or do we even have a relationship? After that press release I should be happy. My parents were but I was not. Why? Again, you were all quiet and then you had the right to ask me if I was angry. I was not angry. I was furious! I was livid! And you left me steaming off!!" she was not a shrieking kind of person, but she was close.

"Do you know why I didn't answer your call? I don't want to say anything I might regret later because once I was done being sorry for myself, I actually wanted to scream! I want to throw things out! And I am not a throwing kind of person. You don't want to know how much kimchi I ended up making because of that!" Youra exploded. Seems like the volcano had erupted and now the lava was just sizzling off.

"So there, that's how I feel," she sat back again in her sofa.

Jin was already sitting straight after watching her off in her tirade. He stood up, took Youra's hand and pulled her to sit next to him.

"Baby, I apologize. I truly am sorry. I have no excuse for the messages. None that wouldn't make you even angrier that you already are," he admitted. He was busy recording and practicing in the studio that he barely had enough time to rest. It was not as if he didn't have access to his phone.

What Youra said was true.

He talked to his mum daily. He saw and read all of her messages in between breaks but usually he was always called back for something when he was about to reply. Then, he forgot. To give more excuse to her would just be like adding more fuel to her anger. He managed to sneak in some game time but Youra didn't need to know that. He didn't want to add more oil to the fire. Youra might end up throwing him a pot from the kitchen. He's not taking any chances.

"The day the article went out, we were occupied with the press release. Then we had to continue with the recording and practice. As a matter of fact we are still working on a project. I was only able to call you after work ends."

"Which miraculously happened after I didn't send you anything," Youra said dryly. "I honestly don't know what to do," she suddenly burst to tears. Jin pulled her into his arms and held her tight.

"I really miss you, you know," he said, rubbing her back.

"How would I know when you barely send me anything," she replied in between her sobs.

"I really do. All I could think of is how fast I can get you back in my arms."

"Obviously not fast enough," Youra inserted, not finished being salty.

"Do you love me?" asked Jin framing her face in his hand.

"I do. Love you. But I can't work this off alone. Am I still even your girlfriend?" she started to sob again and Jin pulled her back in his arms.

"You are my one and only girlfriend. I love you and I am sorry for what I've done. I promise to reply to your messages and call you whenever I can. Daily," he promised.

Youra sniffed, "Don't make promises you can't keep."

"No, I really promise," Jin swore with his hand up.

"Okay," replied Youra unconvincingly. "I'll help you keep your promise. I won't send you anything the next day until you reply my message daily. I'm not saying reply to each and every single one of my messages. A short 'K' is fine enough at the end of the day if you're too tired to type 'okay' in," Youra pulled her feet up and sat on her heel on the sofa. "Deal?" she put her pinky finger up.

Jin linked her pinky finger with his, "Deal," and pulled her for a kiss.

"One more thing. If, in the future... You lost interest in me... Don't let me be the last to know," her voice broke.

Jin hugged her straight away. He knew she was scared. He was too. She could go and date someone else freely if she wanted too. She doesn't have to do it in private like she's with him now. With him, it's all about being in the spotlight and she's not a person who basks in it. She didn't see him as a stepping stone like some did. "Don't say that."

"Promise me."

He sighed and nodded, "I promise."

He kissed her again amorously. He broke the kiss off "I shouldn't be doing that." Youra looked at him questioningly. "I don't want you to get what I have. You might get sick too," he explained.

"Oh," she replied. She looked at him and smiled, "Too late. I'm willing to risk it," and proceeded to continue where they left off.
