Yeonjun's POV

Ugh.

I have to stop thinking about it! There is no point of me thinking about it. All it does is just mess with my head and then I won't be able to concentrate on anything.

Like today during training, I was completely out of it. I only had one thing on my mind and it had nothing to do with training. I seriously need to get myself together.

We have been training for about a week now since Taehyung uncle made the annocunemt of war.

Soobin has been in a mood since then because they told him that he isn't allowed to join the war since he's too young. He's ignored everyone and he barely talks to me. The only one he seems okay talking to is Nahla. But I don't blame him, I would have felt the same.

I decided to just give him his space but I hate it. I want to be able to talk to him, to tell him how my week has been going.

How the one person that's stuck in my head just keeps showing up everywhere. During training, during my free time, and during mealtimes. He's just everywhere and I can't shake him off. And now he is even stuck in my mind and it doesn't help that he flirts with me every chance he gets, making me get this fluttering feeling in my stomach.

I want to tell all of this to Soobin, to be able to get it off my chest and to get some advice.

I start to walk back to my room while taking off my sweater, agitated by everything at this point.

Without even noticing I pass by my dad, not noticing until he grabs onto my shoulder, halting my movements. "Where are you going so deep in thought?" He asks with his usual beautiful smile which shows his dimple.

"Oh hi dad. Sorry I didn't notice you there, just been thinking too much." I say as I let him wrap his arms around my shoulder and walk me to his office.

"Would you like to share your thoughts?" He asks carefully as he eyes me from the corner of his eye. I instantly look down, trying to hide from his peering eyes. Should I just tell him? But it might be weird to tell him.

"Yeonie, I'm not like your uncle. If you really want to share then you'll have to tell me yourself." He says with a chuckle. I let out a sigh as we walk into his office and I take a seat on the long couch and he sits across from me. I look down and avoid eye contact as I try to collect my thoughts.

I'm confused and so I'm not sure what I have to say or what I want to say.

"I-I...." I take in a deep breath and look up to meet my dads eyes. And once I see his eyes I relax. I don't feel like my head is about to explode from too much thinking anymore. His calming nature just relaxes me.

And now with a much clearer mind, I'm able to know what I want to say as well as ask.

"Dad, how did you know that you liked papa?" I ask as I fold my hands together, to stop myself from fidgeting, and lay back to relax myself even more.

He hums as he looks off to the distance, allowing the memories to slowly flow back. And when he breaks out into a smile, I knew he remembered. He lets out a chuckle as his smile widens, with a sparkle in his eyes. I smile as well, loving how just thinking about papa can affect dad in such a happy way.

"Well I think I've always liked your papa. He was just always different and I loved it. We grew up really close to one another and became close friends very quick. But the first time I truly noticed my feelings for him is when he came out to me." As soon as he says that I start to laugh, really dad?

"It's not what you're thinking!" He yells immediately and starts to laugh himself. "I was the first one he ever told and I could tell he was scared, of course he didn't have anything to be afraid of since vampires don't care for matters like gender. But he was still scared because even then, there wasn't many male vampires that got together, because if you wanted to have children it was easier to do it with a woman than a man who can carry children because there wasn't that many of them who can. And even though we don't care for things like gender, everyone just saw it as the norm that men and women should be together. But no one ever shamed men for getting together." He lets out a sigh as he looks back at me with a happy look, while remembering his past.
