I Missed You So Much

Y/N POV

I've waited so long for this Tuesday to come. Approximately five days. I know, it seems like a few days but I'm not the world's most patient person. I haven't told Gi about Namjoon yet, just like he'd asked. But that also meant that I had to choose my outfit by myself. Not that my clothing preferences are socially awkward or anything but I'm feeling overly self-conscious. I can't believe I'm actually doing this. Giving us a try? Are you ok Y/N, what happened to all your pessimism about love? I push my thoughts aside. In the end, I settled for a black oversized jumper and black jeans. My long hair's still hanging loose. I can't be asked to do a fancy hairstyle. By the time I've gone out to the lobby and caught a cab, I'm running late as usual. I arrive outside the restaurant by nine thirty. And just like he had said, Namjoon was waiting outside, barely noticeable. I missed you so much. Ew! Why do I feel this way? I'm literally having thoughts that I don't know I'm having and it's so weird.

"Hi. It took me a while to notice you.", I greeted him.

"Hey. You look nice. And I did tell you that I'd dress suitably.", he greeted me back, simultaneously analysing my outfit, complimenting it and explaining why he looks like an undercover agent.

Being Namjoon I guess that's what it's called.

"Thanks. Shall we go in?", I asked.

He held the door open and courteously said, "Ladies first."

"Whatever. I don't care who goes in first.", I said nonchalantly.

He guided me to a table he'd reserved for us. I took a seat.

"What would you like to order?", he questioned.

"I don't mind."

"Do you like kimchi?"

"Can you be called human if you don't like kimchi?"

"Exactly what I was thinking. You can't be a human if you don't like kimchi. I think I'll order that then."

After the waiter took our order, we sat there in silence, not knowing what to talk about but gazing at each other intensely. I couldn't hold his gaze for long enough because I turned away. It was as if he was trying to read me by looking through my eyes.

"Tell me more about yourself. I don't think I know as much as you know about me.", he broke the awkward silence.

"That's not your fault. You're an idol. Your life is the one to be broadcasted. But since you insist I can tell you a few things."

Namjoon POV

She'd only begun talking and her voice filled my ears like a sweet melody.

"I love the moon so much. I wouldn't care if the world didn't exist, as long as the moon is still up there. But it's so underestimated. Always compared to the sun. Honestly I don't think the sun is all that much as everyone believes.", she said.

"I can agree with you on that. Everyone just hypes the sun up. It's not all that important and amazing. The moon's the one that gives so many people hope. You told me you liked the rain."

"Yeah. The rain's something else I absolutely love. You know just like you said in your song."

"And you like my music too?"

"Yeah. I love your music. Even your singing skills though that could be debatable."

"Do you play an instrument or anything like that?"

"I sing. Instruments aren't my thing."

"What do you like doing when you have nothing to do at all."
