I stood on the side of the one way glass, standing there with my arms crossed as Bucky sat in an indestructible cell in the small interrogation room, his wrists clasped to the chair he was sitting. He stared at the mirror on his side, almost like he knew that someone was watching him, but I knew better than everyone that it's just an intimidation technique for who ever was standing there staring at you.

I didn't move for a moment, aligning my thoughts in my head as I closed my eyes for a moment, taking in a few deep breaths. I hadn't spoken to him in a long time, my throat itchy under the thought of the last time I had seen him. I opened my eyes again, Bucky still staring as he was just moments ago, shaking my head as I mentally encouraged myself to speak to him, knowing that it would put my mind at ease.

I let out a sigh, reaching forward as I put my hand on the door handle, pausing for a moment as I controlled my thoughts, pulled it open as I walked into the room, Bucky's eyes watching me as I let the door slam behind me, not turning my back on the man. "Hey" I said quickly as I stood at the door, pushing my hands into my jean pockets as he stared at me, his lips parting slightly as he shook his head to get his hair out of his face.

I stood there for a moment, almost waiting for him to say something which he didn't, not knowing what to say as rubbed my lips together, taking a small step forward. "I read about you in a museum" he said to me, his voice sounding as soft as it did when I heard it for the first time, my heart beat picking up for some reason or another. "Is that all you remember?" I asked him as I took a small step toward instinctively, Bucky furrowing his eyebrows.

"The pennies in your drinks" he started, looking up at me as I nodded my head, walking forward as I stood in front of the cage, Bucky shaking his head at me as he looked up at me. "It's cloudy" he told me as he shook his head, getting his hair out of his face as I shook my head at him, letting out a small breath. "It's okay, it won't happen instantly" I told him as he swallowed, looking down at the floor as I stood in my place, smiling weakly at him.

"I didn't do it" he told me as he clenched his normal fist, his metal arm cuffed with a bigger cuff than the other for obvious reasons. "I know you didn't" I said quietly, nodding my head reassuringly at him as he looked up at me, his steel blue eyes throwing me back into a past life, but there was one small difference, and that was his eyes now held nothing but pain.

"Can you get me out of here?" Bucky asked me, begging me as I let out a deep breath, running my hand through my hair as I looked at him. "I've tried" I reassured him, shaking my head as I dropped my arms down my side, both of us staring at each other for a moment as Bucky squinted his eyes at me. "At the museum, there's pictures of us" he said to me as I nodded my head at him, slowly letting a breath out of my nose.

"We looked close" he said to me as I took a small step forward, blinking a few times as I smiled at him weakly. "We were" I replied as he continued to look at me, his eyebrows raised as he leaned back in the mechanical chair he was in. "What happened?" he asked me as I shrugged my shoulders, my hair falling over them as I put my hands on my legs. "Those people died" I said simply as I let out a deep breath, bowing my head as I turned around in the uncomfortable silence, making my way towards the door.

"Did the feelings die with them?" he asked me as I stopped in my tracks, turning around as I looked over at him, my heart beating as I swallowed the large lump in my throat. "That's something I can't decide for you" I said to him as I turned around again, pulling the door open as I stood in the small room, the door closing behind me as I bowed my head, my hair failing over my face.

I let out a long shaky breath as I pushed my hands into my back pockets, flipping my head up as I shook my head, walking straight forward to the door in front of me, leaving the room as I nodded my head at the armed guard who stood on the other side, making my way down the long dim hall and back into the main building.
