AN: The picture above is what I imagine Hikaru looks like. I don't know who the original artist is, but all credits go to them.

Hikaru stayed at the hospital for a week or so after he woke up. Various tests needed to be done to make sure nothing else was wrong with him and that his wound had healed nicely.

It would be an understatement to say that he wished to go outside.

He practically craved it.

And so, a week later, Team 8 had been told to meet with Asao at Training Ground 3. They were lucky the weather had turned sunny and the snow was mostly melted away.

"Hikaru, I'm glad to see you are well." That was the first thing the man said after they all met up.

The said boy nodded, not saying anything in return.

"Is there a reason we're here?" Hanae was the one who asked the main question.

Aizen watched as a slight smile curled Asao's lips, "Well, you see... I felt like sparring matches would do us well as a team. You still don't know your team's strengths and weaknesses, do you?"

Now that he mentioned that, Aizen could agree with his reasons. He didn't know what Hikaru's strengths and weaknesses were. The same went for Hanae.

"Okay, Aizen!" Asao clapped his hands, catching the said boy's attention, "Try and explain Hanae's fighting style to us."

Aizen blinked, caught off guard, "Her... fighting style?" He spoke, tilting his head. From what he could remember, she used Suiton a lot when she fought, "Uh, I guess her chakra nature is Suiton? From what I witnessed, she seemed to be a long-range fighter." He nodded, satisfied with his answer.

"That would be correct." The girl agreed with his words.

Asao hummed, "That also means that her weaknesses are close-range combat and Doton," the man explained, before he looked at Hikaru, "Hikaru, try and explain Aizen's fighting style to us."

The pale-eyed boy shifted to the side, glancing at Aizen, "I'm not sure what his chakra nature is, but he's fast, so that gives him an advantage both in long and close-range distances."

Well... He wasn't wrong.

"Aizen, do you know your chakra nature?" Asao asked him, turning to face him.

His chakra nature? He wasn't sure... "I don't." He went with the safe option.

He noticed that Asao began checking his pockets and a moment later, he pulled out a small paper, "This is a Chakra Paper. You find out your chakra nature with it," Asao walked up to him and raised the paper, "Watch."

It didn't even take a second, before the paper went dark and crumbled away.

"Huh?" That was the only thing that left Aizen's lips.

Asao grinned, "If your nature is Katon, the paper will catch on fire and turn to ash. If it's Futon, the paper will split in half. If it's Raiton, the paper will wrinkle. If it's Doton, it will crumble, as you've just seen. If it's Suiton, it will grow damp."

Oh... So that's how it worked.

Asao shoved a hand in his pocket and pulled out another one, "Here, focus chakra into it. Not much is needed." He handed the paper to him and Aizen took it into his hands.

Raising it, he closed his eyes and focused. He felt the paper shift a moment later and he opened his eyes. It had split in half, right down the middle, "So this is... Futon?" He asked, shifting his gaze at Asao.
