cyra sprinted up to everest who was waiting in front of her car in the airport drive up area. "i missed you." she exclaimed, giving everest a giant hug.
"i missed you too cyra." everest's voice was muffled from cyra's sweatshirt.
max was struggling behind her, as he was wearing birkenstocks and dragging his suitcase as he stumbled around. it was quite a sight to see. "finally. i can be away from cyra. she's so annoying."
everest rolled her eyes, "i missed you to maxxy."
they were now in the car driving to the hotel, "so when are we going to see josh?" cyra questioned absentmindedly.
"uh, you want to?" everest's eyes were wide.
"duh. we need to put him in his place." max replied.
"it's just, we're doing a lot better, we even watched movies last night.
"that's good, but we still have to warn him that if he ever hurts you again, we will chop his balls off." cyra said seriously.
"ugh. whatever." everest new there was no use in arguing with her stubborn friends.
she had known them all throughout high school, but didn't become best friends until joshua left. they had all known each other, but josh wasn't super good friends with them. it was starting to feel like an awkward high school reunion.
