asher, peyton, and everest would spend a lot of their days hanging out together. this was while cyra and max were at ucla. although everest was close to them now, they were always busy studying or in class.
"guys i have an audition tomorrow." everest said, biting her nail. she was lying on asher's bed with him while peyton sat on a beanbag.
"you're going to do great." peyton assured, putting her phone down. "the first couple auditions are always nerve racking but you get used to them."
"yeah i agree." asher chimed in, "what's it for anyway?"
she rubbed her eye, "i'm not clear exactly but it's this movie directed by a lady named nora brooks. about a girl who has no friends after the accident at school and she meets her brothers friend and predictably they fall in love." everest laughs, "that's all i know.
asher's eyes widen, "nora brooks?" he repeats in a questioning tone.
"uh yeah?" she says confused, "i haven't really heard anything about her."
"i'm auditioning for the lead male role!" he shouts.
"oh my god. this is awesome." peyton shouts jumping up and tackling them both in a hug. she had previously been focused on her phone but everest supposed this had gotten her attention.
"wait this is great! what if we get the roles?" she allows herself to think of how great it would be to work with asher, but also how it turned out working with josh. huh. "not that we should get our hopes up" she continued, "it's a long shot."
"yeah, but even the possibility is so cool." asher hugged her and she rested her head on his shoulder. she felt oddly comforted with asher, something she hadn't experienced since she saw joshua a month ago.
