two weeks later and everest still hadn't gotten any sort of call or email about whether she had gotten the role or not. the more she thought about it, the more nervous it made her. at this point she had pretty much accepted that she didn't get it. they probably just had a lot of people to contact. she hadn't told asher this, his overwhelming optimism would have told her that she never knew. and needed to hope for the best. but everest was more of a realist.

it had been about two months since josh left to film. they talked on and off for a little bit, not a whole ton. he had a lot of filming and recording to do. while everest found herself increasingly busy with her knee friends. especially asher, who she spent a large amount of her free time with.

she still thought about the kiss with joshua, and once and awhile allowed her to think of where it could have gone. but he didn't want anything to happen, and that was for the best

everest wasn't sure if she liked asher. yeah he was sweet, caring, funny, and really cute. but, okay yeah she liked him.

but after josh she just wasn't sure if a relationship was the best thing. everest decided to have the, if it's meant to be, it'll happen mentality.

so she was just hanging out in her apartment when she got a call from her new manager. "hey what's up?" she answered the phone.

"everest, you got the role!"
