"wow i missed this place." josh told everest.
"really? i guess i was always in a hurry to get out."
"do you think that you're going to see you mom at all while we're here." josh asked her.
"most definitely not josh." everest told him, and she was not lying. she had no desire or intentions of seeing her mother.
"maybe she's changed everest." he offered. they were standing in front of the airport waiting for their uber to take them to josh's house.
"you out of all people should know that she hasn't changed josh."
he sighed, "yeah you're probably right."
after reminiscing on memories in oceanside, they approached his driveway. "hey i have to warn you." josh started, "my mom loves you, as you know."
"parents do love me." she bragged.
"anyway, my mom has always wanted us to date. because she loves you, and i think she thinks we're dating."
everest started laughing, "why?" she said in between giggles.
"i don't know! i tried to tell her we're just friends, but she doesn't believe me. she thinks i'm lying and trying to keep it a secret. so i though i would warn you before things get weird. she makes things awkward."
