"hey, do you guys wanna hang out with everest and her friends tonight?" joshua asked his three friends. they were in the car driving back to the hotel.
"yes! of course!" sofia exclaimed. "everest seems so sweet."
"yeah she is." josh smiled softly.
"aw. he's got a crush." olivia mocked in a sing-song voice."
"do not." he grumbled.
"do too." she retorted.
he sighed, "whatever. arguing with you is futile."
"yes it is." olivia agreed.
"so you guys are friends again?" matt asked, taking a gulp of water.
"yeah i think so. things are a lot better." josh answered, "but she still hasn't really mentioned why we stopped being friends. she changes the subject every time i try and bring it up."
"it's a tough subject for her j. you can't expect her to be excited to talk about it. you probably have to earn her trust again." sofia advised, her and olivia were always the best at giving advise. matt usually gave useless comments.
"yeah i guess you're right."
"of course i'm right."
"guys, just please don't be weird tonight. act normal."
"um. i'm insulted." matt retorted, pretending to be hurt.
"i-just, i already think her friends don't like me. so just, i don't want the night to be awkward."
"trust me, it won't. i'm a social butterfly." sofia exclaimed.
"yeah. tonight's gonna be great." assured olivia.
