I turn around to see Dougie down on one knee, holding a ring in a red box. I feel myself blush and gasp at the shock. He shoots a massive grin in my direction and makes absolute eye contact with me. The whole restaurant is looking at us and the music quietens down to the background. Dougie starts talking. "Amy, I've been in love with you forever and I want to be with you until my dying day. I love you infinitely and I would be so so so proud to call you my Mrs Poynter. Amy O'Kelly, love of my life, will you marry me? " I don't even hesitate. "Yes yes yes yes yes!!" Applause provides an echo as we kiss. Wow. I whisper in to his ear "By far the best day ever, besides meeting you". We hold each other in a loving embrace and then sit down to our meal, Dougie watching me stare at my beautiful ring. It is a plainish silver band with three diamonds on it in a triangle

formation. 'Do you like it?" My fiancé asks worriedly. "Of course I do. It's amazing!" We hold hands across the table and drink champagne. I don't think I have ever smiled so much.

When we get home that night, the boys ring us to congratulate us. "We're so happy for you" says Harry. "Yeah, our little Dougie is all grown up!!" Say Danny and Tom. "Shuddup!" Says Dougie. After another couple of minutes, we finish the call and Dougie turns to me. "So, how's my beautiful fiancé? I like that." He says. "Brill! It'll be better when it's wife though."
