Chapter 24

Continued From The Past....

Third Person Point of View

"For now he is fine. His blood pressure is under control and his heart is performing well. But please.." The doctor looked the family members of the patient, they were slightly relaxed after hearing him.

"Stop making him take workloads. It can be dangerous for the next time. He has a tendency to take too much workload to make the work perfect and his this perfectionist attitude makes him more tensed. Be careful for the next time." The doctor sighed deeply and looked at them.

"Ok doctor. Thank you. " The tall guy said. The other family members were also agreed with him.

"Ok. Excuse me." The doctor went to his work as Doon City Hospital was very reputed and busy hospital; the doctor couldn't spend time with them for his own workload.

"Dad can never listen to us, this time I am not going to hear him out." Shivani angrily said while Suvarna and Vyom were trying to make her calm as they couldn't shout in the hospital. Sharanya was also making her understand. But Shiv was unexpectedly quite. He started to walk out from there.

Sharanya had noticed his movement and went behind him. Shiv came to the outside garden of the hospital. He found a bench and sat there. His head was down between his legs. Sharanya was quietly standing there for some moments and then she also came to the bench and sat beside him.

They both were silent for next few minutes.

"You know, I thought that.. we almost lost Dad today. I was so afraid." Shiv said looking at the sky.

Sharanya was looking at him constantly.

"I am still in my Masters and Shivani is still in her graduation. Both of us are not settled. If suddenly something happens to Dad then our family will be torn apart." Shiv was still looking at the sky. She was listening silently.

"So I had to make this decision. I..." He took a deep breathe.

"I am joining our family business." He said firmly.

"Shiv..." Sharanya came closer and put her hand on his back.

"This is the only way to make everything right. Though I cannot do my higher studies which... which is my dream." Shiv hold his breathe to control his emotions.

"But at least I can protect my loved ones. Specially my sister, her dreams... She may be tough from outside but inside she is soft as feather. You know na Sharu... She can get hurt easily. I want to make her happy... I don't..." He couldn't hold his emotions.

"Shiv..." Sharanya hugged him and petting his back.

"Don't worry Shiv. Everything will be fine." She kept petting his back.

"And remember one thing, Shiv.  I am always there for you in your all decisions." She brushed a kiss on his hair while petting his back.

Shiv hugged her back tightly, his eyes were still emitting warm tears.

The comfortable silence consumed them gradually.

It had been six months since that incident. Now the three of them at their final semester of Graduation. Shivani and Vyom's relationship was not secret anymore to these three families. Their family didn't object at their relationship at all, whereas they were very happy to know that they were going to become families very soon.

Shiv and Sharanya's relationship were still a mystery to them. They were suspecting but lack of evidence didn't give the courage of asking them directly.
