ROSEANNE

Groaning at the light that was slipping through my curtains, I open my eyes in laziness.

I didn't want to wake up, this had been the best sleep I had in a while.

And he had been in my dream.

James.

At the thought of his name, pieces of the dream come into place.

He was hugging me and I was in his arms.

It was only dream, but it felt so real.

Did I dream about him because I miss him?

With a sigh, I throw my legs over the edge of the bed.

The events from earlier had exhausted me, but somehow, I felt better than yesterday.

Getting up from the bed, I head into the bathroom.

Shutting the door behind me, I grab my toothbrush and smear toothpaste on it. Wetting it I begin to brush my teeth. Foam quickly forming in my mouth.

Once I'm done with the rest, I begin to take off my clothes and walk into the shower.

The warm water making me sigh in relief.

Pushing my hair hair back, I close my eyes and let my mind drift away.

Nathan finally knew.

But we still had much more to talk about.

It was unavoidable.

And him.

James didn't deserve to be ignored.

Just like he didn't deserve a messed up person like me.

He deserved someone better.

Not me.

And I would tell him that today.

I would finally put an end to it.

Stepping out of the shower, I wrap the soft towel around my body, the damp hair letting drops of water trail down my back as I walk into my room.

It was a Saturday and I had this desire to go to the park.

At the thought of the park, my mind travels to the first time James and I started talking.

We were just strangers talking to each other.

And we still are, I don't know him and he doesn't know me.

But he made me feel happy.

Grabbing a pair of jeans from my closet, I continue rummaging through it until I find a shirt.
