Chapter 31

What we wished for is not what we really need. What we expect the least will sometimes what we get.

I've never been too nervous, not until today. It's been a two whole year bumpy journey for me and Arc. We fight, we cool-off, and we even decided to broke up once. Pero mukhang kami talaga eh. I mean, kami talaga.

"I'm so tired of this thing. We always end up fighting! You're always busy, kahit na dayoff ay di mo makayang makipagcommunicate. Are we still in the same page Arc?"

I cried a lot that time. It's our 2nd anniversary and he didn't even greeted me good morning. It was lunch time when I had the chance to messaged him kasi online siya. At talagang may time pa siyang mag online ha. After sending that message, I cried the whole vacant time I have. Mugto ang mga mata kong nagklase.

It's five in the afternoon when I checked my phone again and my message to him was seen. Hindi siya nagreply. Iritado akong nag-ayos ng mga gamit ko.

"Miss Cruz, pinapabigay po." A junior highschool student went to me with a gift bag in her hands. I accepted it and immediately open the card attached. I sighed in disappointment when I saw that it is from Arc's sisters.

Oh God. These people are really shipping us.

I swear, pag may nagbigay pa ulit sa akin ng gift and a greeting card, hahagulgol na ako dito.

Wala naman nang pumasok pa ulit kaya't matiwasay akong natapos sa mga ginagawa. I decided to go home early, I want to rest. I want to sleep.

Nang makalabas na ako ay nakita kong nagkukumpolan ang mga co-teachers ko sa may pathway. Kasama ang ibang staffs. Kaya pala walang nag-iingay kanina sa office.

Nang makita niloa ako ay ngumiti sila at isa-isang naglakad papunta sa akin.

"I love you dear. From the very start that you set foot in this school, I know you will be my most loved student. I'm happy for you." Our dearest Principal said with tears in her eyes. Iniabot niya sa akin ang isang bouquet ng white roses. Oh my God. Kinakabahan ako.

"Ang daya mo girl. Ilang taon kang nawala dito sa atin, pagbalik mo at isang taong pagstay dito may nabingwit ka na agad. Paexperience magkaroon ng loverboy please." Natatawa na naiiyak na saad ni Milly.

"Wag mo na siyang pakawalan, sige ka. Hahalayin ko siya ng mabuntis ako!" Malanding saad ng baklitang si Andy. They give me another bouquet of roses but this time, its red.

I saw how my other collueges smiled warmly at me while they fall in line and hug me. Each one of them gave me one stem of rose. Ang iba ay puti, ang iba ay pula. Some of the students are taking photos and videos. Ganoon na rin ang mga kasamahan ko.

I cried when I saw Ara, Mika, Bella, Lucy, Jane, Tina, Arc's parents and other siblings, Miss Feliciano, Carl, my siblings, and my father. Nasa pathway lang sila at bawat isa ay may hawak na rose, na naman. What is this. Lulunurin ba nila ako sa pamamagitan ng rose? I can't even barely hold these two bouquets and those that are from my workmates. They hugged me and congratulated me.
