Finally it was Friday and at least school passed quietly, because the rest of the day would be very upsetting.

When I walked home Jungkook caught up with me. "Hey, Y/N", he said smiling sheepishly and put his arm around me, "Ready for our study session?"

"Sure and you?", I said laughing, "can you stay concentrated this time?"

"I'm trying my best okay", he said pouting and removed his arms.

"But I have to eat first", I told him and his eyes lit up.

"Can you cook?", he asked excited.

"Not really, but I can make ramen", I explained as we arrived at our houses.

"Can I come with youu? I love ramen", he whined acting like a small child.

"Okay", I said giving in, "but I don't want any criticism."

"I won't say anything", he said following me happily inside.

While the ramen was cooking I quickly checked my phone for any notifications.

I smiled while texting with him and was happy about his idea. Jungkook watched me sceptically. "Texting that jerk again?", he asked sipping annoyed on his water.

"Um yes", I hummed and snapped my head at him, "and he's not a jerk."

"What is he then?", he asked teasing me with his provocative glares.

"He's just -- a friend", I stuttered and put my phone down.

"And you're going out with him?", he asked gritting his teeth staring at me with dark eyes.

"No, I- ugh shut up", I said blushing a little, "ramen's ready."

We ate silently until I had to tell him about my date. "Oh, and by the way: we can only study till 4.30pm, because I need to get ready", I explained and he frowned, obviously not liking what I said.

"Why?", he asked bluntly.

"I- Jun and I are going for a walk", I told him the truth and he chuckled bitterly.

"A walk? What a stupid idea", he said grumpily.

"Can you stop?", I said loudly, "it's cute, okay?"

"Whatever", he mumbled and finished eating.

"Let's start, shall we?", he asked and I nodded trying to ignore the tension between us.

This time we managed to stay focused and he really learned something while listening to my words. I was really proud of myself and could have continued for another two hours, when I remembered my second date with Jun.

"I'm sorry, Kook", I apologised, "but I need to get ready now."

He groaned annoyed and closed the book loudly. I didn't really understand why he was so sensitive about me and Jun, but he must be disappointed that he's not the center of my life.

"Okay, then go for it. I'm leaving when he's coming", he said stubbornly.

"What? No, Jungkook", I whined, "you'll embarrass me though."

He shrugged and leaned against the back of my bed. I sighed and turned away from him to pick my outfit. I changed and fixed my hair a bit. During all the time he watched me grimly and didn't say a single word.

"Okay I'm done", I said turning around in front of the mirror, "how do I look?"

"Alright", he answered not even sparing a glance at me.

"Al-?!", I wanted to complain but he cut me off. "Is he even worth it?", he asked mad. I was about to explain it to him when the door bell rang. I stuck out my tongue at him and rushed downstairs to open the door.

"Hey", I greeted him happily. "Hi, Y/N. Ready?", he asked smiling but his smile faded, when Jungkook appeared behind you in the door.

To be honest, he really looked like my boyfriend in that moment. He was leaning in the doorway and eyed Jun quite intimidating. Plus, he was wearing all black and his eyes were as black as the darkest night.

Jun gulped and looked insecurely at me.

"Oh, um. Jungkook was about to leave", I said flustered and pushed him outside while he was sending death glares at Jun.

"Bye", I said waving Jungkook who only left reluctantly.

"Let's go", I said dragging Jun away.

We walked to the park which was also nearby. The sun was already setting and you could see that Jun didn't promise too much.

The park really was pretty: we walked between cherry trees which were lighted by the warm glow of small lanterns. The wind was softly playing with the hanging lampions and created a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

We sat down at a bench and let our gazes wander around without talking a word. Suddenly a feeling overcame me, a feeling that showed me, I have to tell him the truth. Before it is too late.

I sighed and adverted my eyes at him. "People say that you learn to love", I started talking and saw how something changed in his eyes, "but I don't believe that we are meant to be, Jun."

He looked down at his hands and let his shoulders hang down.

"I only see you as a friend", I said noticing it was harder to tell the truth than I thought, "I didn't want to pretend something I can't feel."

"I know, Y/N", he said with a raspy voice, "I noticed it from the beginning, your heart was with someone else."

"What? No-", I said confused. I really didn't expect him to say this.

"It's Jungkook, isn't it?", he asked with a slightly bitter undertone.

"NO!", I denied a bit too enthusiastic, "we're just friends."

"I see", he said not really convinced, "but thank you for telling me. It was just too good to be true." I smiled sadly and wanted to hug him or something, but I should better not do that.

"But, ... I mean, we can still stay friends?", he asked unsure.

"Yes, I was hoping you'd ask that", I said, "you're a good friend to me and a very nice person. I wouldn't like to lose you."

He nodded resignated. "Let's head home", he said getting up. I followed him feeling a bit down, but also relieved.

The only thing that still bothered me, was Jungkook. As always. Even Jun noticed that he's on my mind all the time. I need to forget him. Why can't I just forget him?
