However, Lan Zhan began to hold her into his arms and as Wei Ying widens his eyes as he suddenly asked him: "Is she-" Lan Wangji turned to him with the 'glared' of his by shutting Wei Ying's mouth up by looking back at her pale form while spilling blood out of her mouth. But the shocking thing that Lan Wangji did was cry in silence as he spoke, "I'll carry her and you both will come with me, understood?" He told them. Making Wei Wuxian & Jiang Cheng nod in fear of his wrath as they both swallow down their own saliva, before they all can go he (Lan Zhan) was about to walk again until he noticed something underneath his feet was the paper picture of Mey's biological parents, only this time it had fallen down from her inner pockets, he then began to carry her bridal style:
"Let's get back to Gusu, quickly!" Those were the only words that Lan Zhan said before heading off back to Cloud Recess where they'll go to Leader Lan's room.

Once Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian & Jiang Cheng made it to Leader Lan's dorm, one of them started to knock on the door until one of the boys exclaimed: "Master Lan & Second Master Lan! Mey-Mey is bleeding and she needs to find a doctor as soon as possible." "Wei Wuxian, what is the meaning of this?!?" Lan Quiren behold him as he turned to see the door was opened by Wei Ying & his brother along with Lan Zhan, who is carrying an unconscious Mey in his arms, only making him widen his eyes at the sight of blood on Sheng Mey's was carried by his nephew, which his robes were clean and decent. Now it's all stained with blood all over her Lan robes that she got, this really made him furious at this. Xichen however, decided to stand up from his seat as he then asked his uncle: "Uncle, with your permission I would like to help & cure Lady Mey so that when she wakes up you or one of us can ask her questions, is that all-right?" It took a while to answer his first nephew's question and then he finally spoke, "Let's take to the infirmary, at once!"
