Isabel's POV:
I immediately let go of Daniel's hand and run over to Kelly.
"Issa be careful!" Daniel says, referring to all the shards of glass on the floor. I watch my step as I get close to her.
"Kelly what happened?!" I say, concern lacing my voice. When she hears me she looks up and bursts into tears.
"It's all my f-fault! I hate myself. I made y-you run. I-I didn't mean to! I don't k-know wh-what I was thinking. I'm so so sorry Isabel!" She sobbed, speaking angrily, obviously still sort of drunk.
Sure I was upset at what she said, but she's drunk. Her common sense is twisted. I never blamed her, and I never wanted her to be mad at herself for it.
"Sis you are half drunk. You didn't mean it. I'm not mad at you Kelly. You should know that." I said sympathetically. "Now do you want to explain to me why there is glass all over the floor" I asked, kneeling down to her level.
She looked away stubbornly.
"Fine. Jonah what happened?" I said turning to Jonah, who still looked a bit shocked at the situation.
"Um... when Daniel ran out after you, Kelly started asking all these questions, obviously not realizing what she just said. Isabella then explained what had just happened..."He explained, but I knew he wasn't telling me everything.
I looked at Isabella who looked guilty, wiping tears off her face.
"I'm sorry! I did yell at her a bit. I was just mad at her for saying that, is all. I know how much you hate that topic. I just got upset. I hated seeing you hurt. I'm sorry Issa." She said sniffling.
I laughed lightly. "I'm not mad Isabella. I'm actually kinda touched at the gesture. But maybe don't yell next time. She gets super emotional drunk."
"I won't! And believe me, I feel terrible! It won't happen again." I smiled sympathetically at her.
"Thanks Isabella. Ok. So what happened then?" I asked Jonah, trying to get the full story.
"Kelly sort of realized what she did, so she ran to the kitchen and took the glasses off the counter, smashing one on the on the floor, which cut her. I tried stopping her but she threw one at me. Hence the cut on my arm." He said wincing as he moved his arm.
"Frick." I whisper to myself. Kelly was rarely ever violent. Sure she had slammed some doors, but she never hurt people. The alcohol must have had a large effect on her. When she finds out what happened tomorrow after she is sober, I know she is gonna flip. She hates when anyone gets hurt.
"Kelly? Come on. Let's get you cleaned up." I say softly, pulling her up, trying to not step on glass. She just groans.
As I'm walking to the nearest bathroom, Jonah runs up to me with a first aid kit.
"Here. Once she's cleaned up you can put her in my room if you want. Second floor, second door to the left." He said, handing me the kit.
"Thanks Jonah. Are you gonna be okay?" I ask looking at his still cut up arm.
"Yeah I'll be fine. Just make sure she's okay?" He says concerned.
"I'm sure she's fine Jonah. Just a few cuts." I say looking at the half asleep girl, whose head was on my shoulder.
"You do know that she didn't mean to hurt you. right?" I say to Jonah.
"Yeah I know. She just looked so hurt. I wish I could've helped her." He said sadly.
"Hey now. It's not your fault. Now I should get her cleaned up."
"Right. I'll clean this cut and then leave some clothes for her on my bed."
