3rd person POV:

As Daniel went to the receptionist desk to ask where they could find Isabel, everyone else was on edge in the waiting area.

Zach was holding his girlfriend, Isabella, as she softly cried in his shirt. Her mind was running with all the possible things that could go wrong, or what could make things worse.

Jack sat bouncing Lavender on his leg, while Gabbie held onto his arm, praying everything was okay, a few tears running down her face.

Lottie and Corbyn were sitting, hand in hand, trying to comfort each other. Corbyn's mind was also racing. Isabel was like another sister to him. Although he tried comforting Lottie, he couldn't seem to make himself worry less. Lottie could feel his tension, and rested her head on his shoulder as she no longer held back tears.

Jonah was in a corner of the room, his right leg bouncing up and down nervously. He could feel something was wrong. Something they didn't know, but he had a feeling they would know soon. He couldn't help but think of why the man had only called them for Issa and not Kelly. He was beyond glad that they were notified about Issa, but what about Kelly? Surely they could have told them she was alright too, because she was in the same vehicle, right?

Jazmyn was next to Jonah, as he rubbed her back trying to sooth her as she sobbed. She couldn't lose Isabel again. She just couldn't.

Everyone had their own thoughts, but they all had many of the same fears.

Daniel was probably the worst of them all. Though he didn't show it like the others, he was sick to his stomach. He wanted everything to be okay. Hoping that both girls would make it out like nothing happened. But like Jonah, he had this feeling. A feeling that something was very wrong.

His hands shaking as he rang the bell for the receptionist.

An older lady with light grey hair and hazel eyes came out from the back.

"Good evening. How can I help you?" The woman asked nicely, smiling at Daniel.

"Um. We're all here for Isabel Rodriguez. The man on the phone, his name was Noah I think, said that we could come here to see her." Daniel said, referring to all his friends in the waiting room.

The lady typed something rapidly in the computer, squinting slightly as she read over the information on the screen.

"Give me one second." She said, dialing a number into the phone that sat on the counter.

"Hi, it's Amber. I have a young man here wondering if he and his friends can go to see your patient." The lady paused for a second, listening to the voice on the other side. "Isabel Rodriguez I believe." She paused again, this time for a bit longer. "Alright. Thank you." Hanging up the phone she gave Daniel a reassuring smile.

"She just got out of surgery, but she's not waking up." The lady, Amber, said softly.

Daniel's face drained and his eyes widened slightly.

"Nothing to be too worried about though hon. It seems as though she is just in a coma." She reassured, making Daniel feel a little better, but not by much.

"Isabel's doctor said that only two people can go in at this time, and they have to be related to her in some way." Amber explained.

"Give me a second?" Daniel asked, wanting to talk with his friends first.

"Of course. Take all the time you need."

But Daniel wanted to see Isabel as soon as possible. He was not going to take all the time in the world. He didn't know if he had that time.

As he was about to walk back to the group, he realized he forgot to ask about Kelly.

"Oh, I'm sorry, but could you check on another patient for me?" He asked, turning back around.

"Don't apologize. Of course I can. What's their name?"

"Kelly. I don't know her last name, other than it starts with a B. And she was brought here today as well." Daniel said, tapping his foot nervously on the ground.

"Honey, take a deep breath for me." Amber said looking at the young man in front of her with concern.

Daniel did as he was told, and quite frankly, it helped ease his nerves a little. His foot stopped tapping, and his hands stopped shaking.

"Thank you." Daniel breathed out.

"Of course. Just know, that freaking out will not help the situation at all." Amber said smiling, and Daniel nodded his head.

"Would her last name happen to be Bennett?" She asked looking up from the computer.

"Yes! That's it."

"Alright.." She said trailing off. After clicking the computer a few more times, she stopped. Her face fell and her smile faded. After realizing Daniel was still there, she quickly put the smile back on her face.

"What's wrong?" Daniel asked, seeing her face had been solemn just a second ago.

"Um. I have to make a call. If you could take a seat for me that would be great." She said, an obviously forced smile on her face.

"What do you mean make a call? Please tell me what happened." Daniel pleaded. He didn't want to assume the worst, but deep down he knew. He knew what that screen said.

"I can't do that sir. Please just sit down. Someone will be out to talk to you shortly." She said, her face growing sad, but her smile still stayed.

"...Okay." Daniel answered, slowly walking back to his friends. He knew she couldn't tell him what happened even if he begged.

Taking the seat in front of Jonah and next to Isabella, Daniel put his head in his hands.

Nobody dared to ask why he was so solemn. They either didn't want to know, or didn't want to put him through the pain of relaying any information he had gotten. Even though Daniel didn't quite know anything, he didn't have too. He just knew. And it's hard knowing what you don't want to know.

"Family or friends of Kelly Bennett?" A gruff man in his sixties stood in front of the group.

"Yes." They all replied, standing up.

"I wish I didn't have to tell you here, and it sorrows me to have to give you this information," The man started, and they all knew. They all knew what he was going to say. Although Jonah didn't want to believe it. No one did.

"But I have to inform you that she has passed away."

And with those words Jazmyn cried out, as Jonah fell to the ground.
