This is a retelling of the story of 2 Moons Book 1 by Chiffon_Cake. I've basically taken the story for book 1 as a whole and made some adjustments, asking myself "what would happen if..."
The original of this story is wonderful and really should be read. If you can't read it in the beautiful language it was written in, check out the English Translation by @ChinitoBlanco.

I started writing this fan fiction because a friend of mine asked me to. When I imagined the characters in my head, I imagined the characters from the cast of 2 Moons the 1st season. I loved all of the them. The 2 Moons 2 cast was also very good, but the first cast was my introduction to BL stories, so naturally they are my favorites. I have to note here that Forth and Beam from season 2 cast were so gorgeous, and exactly what I imagined the characters to be, so I used them instead of the season 1 cast of those characters when I wrote. Though this is only up until the end of the first book, so ForthBeam really doesn't happen here.

I have to be honest, I've read all the English translations from the original stories and the ending of Book 3 makes me seriously hate Pha. So I'm not as excited about watching the new season because I want to pretend that the whole testing Yo thing never happened. With that in mind, and my friend's encouragement, I wrote this story.

I focused on Book 1, where we see the story of Pha and Yo develop. But I took the feeling that I had of the characters from all three books to re-imagine my story. I wanted to change how it felt to me. I wanted to find a way to end the story in a way that made it feel like a love story for me. The thing about romance stories is that you don't have to have some big villain who keeps the couple apart or even huge character arcs. Because, let's face it, we're there for the love story. Most stories revolve around extraordinary people or extraordinary events. But romances are just about love and that can be lived in a very small space with two ordinary people.

Of course, the more obstacles they overcome, the more we love them and believe their love with last forever. And that's really what we are all looking for, hoping for, and reading about: a love story that will last forever. Two hearts beating as one. Soulmates.

So that relationship between Pha and Yo (especially the end of Book 3) leaves something to be desired. For me, it's the feeling that Pha keeps taking Yo for granted and doesn't understand what a blessing he's been given. That faint uneasy feeling that this isn't true love because in true love, neither partner is quite so arrogant and selfish or thoughtless and hurtful. When I re-imagined the story, I wanted to feel like Pha deserved Yo and that they were equally in love.

What ended up happening is that I introduced characters that didn't belong and situations that never happened so that I could see both Pha and Yo change. I developed a ghost ship when some imagined scenarios pushed our lovers further apart. I also tried very hard to forget Book 3, so that I could be happy if Pha and Yo got together.

I've actually been working on two versions of this story. One follows my ghost ship and the other finishes like the original story with some small differences. I'm excited to see if anyone likes my ghost ship better. The other version of this story is "Breaking Down the Wall" also by me and already completed. If you are reading both stories, you will find that some chapters in both of my stories are exactly the same, but some chapters are completely different. The differences are more and more obvious and necessary toward the end.

I don't know much about Thai honorifics, so I hope I'm not making huge mistakes. If you see any mistakes, please let me know so that I can take some time to change them.

For me, reading is an escape, so the stories I love all have a happy ending. In my opinion, both versions of this fanfic are happy endings, I hope you will enjoy them with me. Since many of the beginning chapters are exactly the same as in "Breaking Down the Wall," I will upload as many of those as I can immediately and then update twice a week (on Tuesday and Friday) after that.
