Jordyn's POV

"You ready to go?" Julie asks as she and a few other national team ladies walks into Kelley and I's living room.

The National team won both of their October friendly games.

I can't really remember who they played though.

Stupid brain.

Anyways...the national team is here because their hosting a tournament in a week and the first game is in Portland so they came early to watch the NWSL Championship game and have a pool party and Kelley and I's house before they got serious for their last camp of the year.

Since Kelley and I's house has 5 unused bedrooms, Ash, Ali, Julie, Crystal, Moe, Abby, Alyssa, Sam, Alex, Alex's daughter, and Allie are staying with us before the camp.

"Yeah." I say then I follow the soccer stars out to the garage.

Once in the garage the 12 of us split into the two cars then we head to Providence park.

"So why are you having a tournament for this camp?" I ask.

"Vlatko wants us to get another tournament under our belts before the Olympics." Ash says.

"Why Portland for one of the venues?" I ask.

"Since Providence park is now grass instead of turf they want to try having a national team game here." Ali says.

"And who are you playing?"

"Australia in Portland, The Netherlands in Utah, and England in Denver." Julie says.

"Okay." I say. "Then you guys are done until March?"

"Unless they schedule a friendly in January." Moe says as we pull up to the stadium.

Once at the stadium we park in the parking lot, get out of the car, meet up with the rest of our group then we head into the stadium and head up to the suite we'll be sitting in. When we get into the suite I get some food then I sit down in-between Julie and Ash.

"So who are you rooting for?" Alex asks from the row in front of me.

The two teams playing for the Championship today are Portland and Utah

"I told both Toby and Kelley that I'll be happy for whoever wins and I'll cuddle whoever loses." I say as the teams walk onto the field for the pre-match ceremony stuff.

Once the pre-match stuff ends the two teams head onto the field and wait for the match to begin.

As Kelley is waiting for the game to start she looks around the stadium and when her eyes land on me she smiles then I smile at my girlfriend and wave.

"Have they given you guys anymore info on expansion teams?" I question as Kelley re focuses on the match.

"They said there's gonna be two expansion teams." Julie says. "But they've only told us about Louisville. They haven't said anything about the second teams location"

"What are the rumors about where it's going to be?" I question.

"LA, Atlanta, Sacramento, or Cincinnati." Julie says as the game kicks off.

"Fuck." I mumble.

"What?" Ash asks.

"If they pick LA or Atlanta then Kelley's probably gonna want to go play in those cities." I say. "And I really like it up here."

"Don't worry Jordyn." Alex says as she feeds her daughter a bottle. "You're gonna be staying here."

"How do you know?" I ask.

"Kelley told the league that for her it's either Portland or Utah." Alex says. "She's not playing for anybody else."

"Oh." I say then I shyly smile before I focus on the game.

90 entertaining minutes later, the game ends in a 2-1 win for the Thorns.

Toby assisted a goal for some Canadian older lady and she assisted for some young girl.

Kelley had the assist on Christen's goal.

"Well looks like you'll be cuddling Kelley." Ash says.

"I'm okay with that." I say as the post game ceremony starts.

Our group stays to see Toby win the MVP before we leave the stadium, head to the cars, get into the cars, then head for home.

When we get back to Kelley and I's house we park in the garage then we head into the house to get dressed. Once in my bedroom I head to the closet, take off my clothes, then put on a dark green bikini.

After I'm dressed I put on one of Kelley's snapbacks then I grab my lacrosse stick and bag of lax balls, leave the bedroom, and head down stairs to the back yard. Once in the backyard I head to the large grass area that Kelley and I turned into a small 30 yard practice field for her. When I get to the small practice field I set my lacrosse stick down, move my lacrosse net into the soccer net, then I toss the lax balls around the grass before I pick my stick up.

"Watcha doin?" Ali asks as I scoop a ball up.

"Shooting to pass the time." I say then I shoot the ball into the net.

"Geez that was fast." Ash says. "Glad I'm not a lacrosse goalie"

"It's not fun." I say. "I did it once in high school and I will never do it again."

"Jordyn do we need to order food?" Julie asks as I scoop another ball up

"We will when the Thorns and Royals girls get here." I say. 

"BUNNY."

"Which would be now." I say then I fire the ball into the net.

I pick up all the lax balls, put them in the bag, then I carry them and my stick into the house.

"You yelled?" I question.

"I need to talk to you." Kelley says. "In private."

I nod then I look at the rest of the girls who are lounging around the downstairs area.

"Whenever the rest of the team get here order the pizza please if we aren't down here."

"You got it." Ash says then Kelley leads me upstairs into our bedroom.

Once in our bedroom, Kelley locks the door then she turns and face me.

"Bring it in." I say then I hold out my arms.

Kelley shuffles over to me and walks into my arms then I wrap my arms around her and hold her.

"I'm sorry." I say.

"It's okay." Kelley says. "We kinda expected it."

Kelley and I stand in this position for a while then I kiss her head when she needs to start getting changed.

"So what did you need to talk to me about?" I ask as I watch my girlfriend strip.

"Christen and I could be joining the Thorns next season."
