Crown International Medical Hospital (CIMH Cafeteria)

"Elle, yung lalaki kahapon, siya ba yung asawa mo? Hindi ko alam na kasal ka na pala. Kelan pa? Hindi mo man lang kami binalitaan. At gwapo saka nangangamoy mayaman. Actually may kamukha nga siya e. Parang si---"

"Oh! I'm done. Mauna na ko sayo Dr. Ethan." Sabi ko saka tumayo at kinuha ang tray ko. Dinala ko ito sa counter saka ako lumabas ng cafeteria.

"W-wait Elle." Rinig ko pang tawag ni Ethan pero hindi ko na siya nilingon pa. "Why do you keep on calling me so formally?? Para namang wala tayong pinagsamahan dati." I just smiled at him na ngayo'y kasabay ko ng maglakad. "I understand that you can't publicized your relationship with your husband. But you don't need to hide it from me. I'm good in keeping secrets you know."

I doubt it. He's still a chatterbox just like before.

"He's a very private person, so I can understand why your marriage is also a secret. He's Dustin Chrome Yozon right? The CEO of Yozon Enterprise."

"You're wr---" napatigil ako sa pagsasalita ng lapitan ako ng isang nurse.

"Dra. Lee, the head doctor is calling for you."

"O-okay." Iniwanan ko si Ethan saka ko sumama sa nurse.

Great timing!! Nakalayo din sa maingay na si Ethan.

Pagdating ko ng office ni Dr. Perez (the head doctor) ay agad niya kong pinaupo.

He is really handsome. And at the age of 28, he is already the head doctor in our pediatric department. He's known as a genius in our field who graduated from the top medical school and ranked first in the licensure examination here in the Philippines at the age of 25. He is also the eldest son of the CEO of one of the leading business companies here.

But despite his success in the field of medicine, he was known as the fallen son of the Perez family because he turned his back from their company and chose a different path leaving all the responsibility to his younger brother.

That's all I know.

"Sorry for suddenly calling you, but we have another hard case and I wanted to hear the opinion of the xx university graduate. But if you're busy now, we can do it later."

"It's okay. I'm free right now doc."

"Great!" then he gave me a gentle smile that made me blush.

This head doctor is really handsome. Ilang babae na kaya ang napaiyak niyan? Kung hindi siya doctor, malamang artista at model ang ganap niya ngayon.

Then he told me about the case and I shared my opinion. Good thing at napag-aralan na namin iyon sa university and I also studied about that case a little.

It's a very complicated case lalo na at isa ito sa mga rare cases tungkol sa mga new born babies kaya ikaw mismo ang mag-aaral dahil limited lang ang information na makakalap mo, iilan pa lang din ang nagtagumpay dito kaya marami ang tumatangging doctor.

And Dr. Perez who is known as a genius is currently studying about it, hindi niya pa tinatanggap ang kaso dahil gusto niya munang araling mabuti dahil buhay ang nakasalalay dito.

Time passes by ng hindi namin namamalayan dahil sa sobrang interesting ng usapan namin.

"I've already taken a lot of your time. Thank you, Dra. Lee. I'll consider everything that you've said." he says after our long discussion.

"I hope medyo nakatulong ako. Well good luck Dr. Perez, I wish you success." Sabi ko saka siya binigyan ng encouraging smile.

Mabuti na lang din at walang nangyaring emergency kaya naging smooth ang usapan namin.
