i'm the place you come to
you're the place i go to

the female lowered her head once again, the cap in chenle's head roughly ripped out of his grasp to be placed over the messy strands.

"you've got the wrong person" shoving chenle with as much force as she could muster, she hastened out of the alleyway. chenle wouldn't give up, he knew there was no way he could mistaken her.

seizing her wrist, he spun her back in front of him, her hands almost crashing against his chest at the force.

"hyejin" his eyes held so much sincerity that his heart was both pumping and still at the same time.

"i don't know you" the woman struggled against chenle's impossibly firm grip, her head bowed down. perhaps she couldn't look at him, or perhaps she was too afraid too. she didn't want the chaos to start, once again.

"hyejin please" his voice wavered in desperation, the familiarity of her face bringing painful memories to flash into his mind

"if you want money, i don't have any" she grunted, jerking her wrist out at last

he was instantly reminded of her last words

"maybe i won't need that money anymore"

he was so sure that no matter what, he was going to find her. a metal device clattered to the floor, his eyes darting to the object. grabbing it, he didn't even give himself a chance to look at it before dashing after her

tailing her through the crowd, the streaks of black were the only thing he could see as the area infiltrated with humans busily going about their day.

not even stopping to apologise to anyone he had bumped harshly into, he chased after the girl with her hand on her cap to press it downwards. as if the timing couldn't be any less inconvenient, a male trolleying a rubbish dump distanced chenle and hyejin, his line of vision being cut by a single rubbish trolley

"move" he murmured to himself, so urgently that he was bouncing around on his feet. as soon as the trolley disappeared from view, his feet jolted himself forwards

but she was already gone

"are you sure?" jisung blurted, sliding out from under the car. jisung has grown up an incredible amount, not only with skill but also with appearance.

chestnut coloured hair with muddy yellow highlights were now prominent on his head. his height grew significantly, but his child-like attitude never wavered.

as for his skills. after some intense coaching and practicing, he had begun to operate on cars and more complex devices, beginning to become a great help to NCT and their electronics as well as machinery.

"i...cant confirm it was her. but whoever it was, she reminded me so much of hyejin. the way she talks and the way her eyes never quivered against mine. i was so sure until..." he dropped his head "...until she left"

"hyejin slit her own throat, there's no logical way she could be alive. i mean, she shouldn't be alive technically speaking" jisung reopened the tortuous history to chenle
