her fingers clasped the pencil, carefully sketching out each line while being sat on the floor where half the wall was blown off. she had successfully settled down in the broken nct base and began sketching the design for nct's based, recreating and revamping it, although she never got the proper opportunity to study architecture so all the measurements and safety considerations made her write and then erase it entirely

"take into consideration of the water pump, the elevator, the lighting wires, electricity-" jeno began, jolting in shock when she yelled out in irritation

"shut up" she banged her hand on the table, forehead supported by her arm

"it also has to look cool" ten slid the previous blueprint of their building towards her, many different red markings scribbled across it

"at this point this design will have a roof that will fall down on you anytime and you're worrying about aesthetics!?" she threw her head up, hair flying everywhere.

the two accompanying her grew quiet

"wheres jisung" she groaned, dropping the pencil and messing her hair up again, clawing her fingers through her excuse of a hair.

"the scales are inconsistent and there's not enough detail" jisung briefly walked pass, placing a pencil in front of her "use this, the grades better than yours"

"jisung-" she stood up, wanting to find an answer to his constant dwelling of thoughts only for him to leave as soon as she stood up

"lets just continue with this" jeno pulled her down, where she took the pencil and let her gaze linger on jisung for one more second, before delving back into the design.

they sat arguing for the next twenty minutes, until chenle walked past and took a seat opposite her when the others had left to grab something from the convenience store.

her eyes widened, a gulp audible as she hurriedly grabbed her stuff. her books were bundled against her chest while she stood up and took steps away, where chenle pulled her right back by the wrist

"again with the avoiding?" he rose his eyebrow, hyejin biting her lip in attempt to tear her eyes from him

"i'm not avoiding you it's just uh... too hot in here" she fanned her own face flushed red

"why are you acting up, what, it's not like i kissed you or something-"

"no!" she flipped around, pointing a finger at him "no- i mean, yes...we didn't kiss"

"hm?" chenle chuckled "what, we kissed?"

"i said no" she snatched her own hand back "goodbye"

"what's the big deal hyejin" he followed her out, close behind her

"there's no deal for it to be big"

"even if we did kiss, it's not like it was your first kiss. your first kiss was me anyways-"

"what the hell chenle!" she whipped around, pointing a threatening finger at him

"am i wrong?" he seemed too casual for the fact he had just kissed the girl that he had searched for for three years

"...no" she murmured, dropping her fingers to fold into a fist.

"i've decided something hyejin" chenle almost beamed, pushing her to the wall
