I groan as I push open the door of Mr. Clarke's class, all eyes falling on me.

"Oh, you too?" Mr. Clarke asks with a chuckle, confusing me.

I ignore it, finding my seat.

Last night I barely got any sleep, because I was up all night thinking about Ten outside the Wheeler's. Yes, It was very possible that I was seeing things, but this time it felt so real.

"Mrs. Tate!" A voice calls, and I snap out of my daze, "Page 104 in your textbook, please."

I rub my eyes, sitting up and pulling out my textbook before opening to the correct page.

"Psst," Mike whispers, "Dustin called a meeting for the AV Club, lunch time."

I nod my head, before looking up at my teacher, trying my best to stay focused.

We all gathered around the table as Dustin opens his ghost trapper accessory from his Halloween costume. We all look inside, and I see some type of slug-like creature crawling around.

"His name is d'Artagnan," Dustin tells us, picking up the slimy lump, "Cute, right?"

"You're kidding." I scoff.

"D'Artagnan?" Mike asks.

"Dart for short." Dustin responds.

"And he was in your trash?" Max questions unbelievably.

"Foraging for food," Dustin adds before looking up at the red-head, "Wanna hold him?"

"No, no." She shakes her head immediately.

"He doesn't bite." Dustin tries to coax.

"I don't want to-" He slides the chittering creature onto her hand, "Oh, god. He's slimy!"

"Ugh, he's like a living booger!" Lucas groans, frantically passing him onto me.

"Ew! He feels like-ah!" I begin to panic, letting out a shout when he jumps onto my other hand, and I quickly pass him to Will.

"Ugh, oh, god!" Will exclaims, letting the creature jump over to Mike.

Mike holds it up to his face, examining it, "What is he?"

"My question exactly," Dustin says, grabbing his books as Mike puts Dart down on the table, "At first, I thought it was some type of Pollywog."

"Pollywog?" Max inquires.

"It's another word for a tadpole. A tadpole is the larval state of a toad." Dustin states.

"I-I know what a tadpole is." Max tells him.

"All right, then you know that most tadpole's are aquatic, right? Well, Dart, he isn't. He doesn't need water." Dustin explains.

"Yeah, but aren't there non-aquatic pollywogs?" Lucas asks.
