Description: Topper's younger sister, who after being sent away in the fall, is finally back home in the Outer Banks for the summer. Known as "Topper's sister" rather than anything else. The family's favorite child, but the Kook academy's princess in the shadows.

Name: Magnolia "Lia" Anne Sullivan
"Do you think he's lying?"
Age:  15 years old turning 16
Description: Violet's best friend, she went away to live with her mother (who remarried) in Spain for the whole summer since her parents are divorced. Her father's side of the family comes from old money and their riches date all the way back to the beginning of the island.

Name: Jordan Tanner
"How many secrets are you hiding?"
Age: 16 years old turning 17
Description: The mysterious new rich football player at the Kook academy, only his family isn't so new after all, as his ancestor once owned the Tannyhill plantation. A descent of Denmark Tanny, back to solve the mystery behind the gold and the missing teenagers.

Description: Twin brother of Sarah Cameron and the Kook academy's golden boy. All the girls either wanted him or had him at one point. Him and his Kook group run the academy like its their own. Currently in rehab, but not gone for long.

Name: Jackson James "JJ" Maybank
"You disappear for three weeks and show up like this?"
Age: 16 years old turning 17
Description: John B's best friend since the third grade, resident Pogue and "bad boy" from the cut. Surfer boy who is a mild kleptomaniac. The Pogue prince of partying and fun, everyone from the cut knows him and loves him.
