CHAPTER SIX

"I think my bunny-slippers just ran for cover."

***

I have taken it upon myself to be Jasper's personal bodyguard. These assholes can really be annoying when there is a dying kid above them, and as the hours ticked by, I have gotten more and more irritated.

It's amusing how well sound echoes up here. I can hear pretty much ever single fucking thing below, and as my friend wailed in pain, I was forced to listen to a bunch of assholes complain about it.

 "Someone shut that kid up!"

 "Can't he just die already?"

That's it. I stood up abruptly from my spot on the floor, stomping over to the hatch that separated us from the downstairs level. Octavia sat up straighter, "Where are you going?"

I wasn't quite sure. Maybe I'll kick some dude in the shins, maybe I'll steal all of his belongings, only time can tell.

"To teach those losers a lesson." I replied dryly, before ducking out and jumping down the ladder before Octavia could intervene. My boots echoed loudly against the metal ground, and all eyes were on me in an instant. One kid near the corner smirked. "Did you finally kill that kid?"

I grinned sarcastically, stalking over to him. The familiar burn of anger in my chest made my fist curl, and before any of them had a chance to process what was happening, I reared my fist back and brought it to his face with as much force as I could muster.

A lot of people yelled after that, but I could barely hear them over the sound of my blood rushing through my head. I grabbed the front of that guys shirt and pinned him to the wall, ignoring the pain in my fist and mentally thanking my old roomate for teaching me how to properly punch someone. I deepened my glare. "That kid, is not going to die." I hissed. "But the same can not be said for you if you keep talking. Got that?"

His eyes were wide, but he nodded slightly. I smiled, "Good."

Before I could threaten anyone else, a hand roughly grabbed my bicep and spun me around. Of course, It was none other then Bellamy Blake, who looked as if he couldn't decide whether or not to be angry or amused.

"Hi there." I mumbled, smirking slightly and refusing to break eye-contact. He rolled his eyes, tiliting his head back slightly.

"What the hell are you doing?"

I pursed my lips, leaning my head to the side and looking around. "Having a tea party."

"What happened to 'I would never purposely hurt someone?" he asked, making his voice all high-pitched when he mocked me. I rolled my eyes, pushing him away.
