Chapter Thirty-Two - We Are Golden

It was Friday, and Sugar was even more adamant about her date rule than ever since she was now with Rory. Since Artie had been rejected, and Blaine couldn't attend I decided it would be a good opportunity to help us both out and get to know him better. Kurt was adamant that Freddie had been planning on meeting him, so I couldn't go with him. So I approached Artie in the hallway. "Hey, I wondered if you wanted to go to Sugar's party with me tonight?"

Artie looked at me, confused, "Aren't you with Blaine?"

I chuckled and shook my head, "As friends, Blaine can't go and Sugar's pretty clear on this bring a date rule, so I thought we could help each other out."

"I'd really like to," Artie smiled, "thanks, Poppy."

"No worries, I'll meet you there?" I asked before he nodded and rolled away.

I was getting ready by myself, Kurt had left a bit early and Finn was out at Rachel's with Dad and Carole. My music was playing and I had been dancing, drinking a glass of wine from the secret stash I had kept under my bed. Teenage Dream had come on from my speakers, and I blushed, remembering how it was what Blaine had sung the first time I heard him sing. For me as well, because I said it was my favourite song. Impulsively, I decided the only place I wanted to be tonight was with him.

Poppy: Forget Sugar's, I'm coming to you, I want to see you so badly.

Blaine: No! Go to Sugar's! I have a surprise for you.

He instantly responded, and I had no idea what that meant. Did he buy me another song from the God Squad? The last thing I expected when I was there was for Sugar to announce she had a special dress, and for then for Blaine to turn around, wearing a suit and looking as sexy as ever. Had he lied about the doctors? Had this been his plan all along?

"Happy Valentine's Day everybody!" He smiled, finding me as quickly as he could and smiling, everyone applauded as I shook my head at him, realising what he had done all along. "This song is dedicated to all the lovers in the room." Hr said before tearing off his eye-patch, throwing it to me and heading to the stage.
