It's 3 in the afternoon on January 5th. Darshan is sitting in the living room watching tv while Rajendra Uncle, Jyugal, Dhruwal Patel(a cinematographer, director, and a very close friend of Darshan and Jyugal), his aunt, uncle, and his cousins are running around the house like crazy. He turns off the tv and rests his right elbow on the back of the sofa. He fists his right hand and rests his head on the fist. He is just watching everyone preparing for the Roka ceremony. After a few minutes, one by one everyone comes and sits in the living room. Jyugal and Dhruwal sit on either side of him. Jyugal rests his head on the back of the sofa.
Jyugal: Shaadi tu kar raha hai par kaam sabko karna pad raha hai!
Darshan simply chuckles at Jyugal's comment.
Dhruwal: Sahi hai! Shaadi kar raha hai aur mujhe kaha bhi nahi!
Darshan: Yaar sab kuch bahot hi jaldbaazi mein ho gaya! Mein kisi ko bhi kuch nahi kaha hai.
Dhruwal is complaining while Darshan glances outside the window. He finds a female sitting on the swing chair but couldn't see the face. He assumes it to be Jaimi and focuses his attention back to everyone.
DU(Darshan's uncle): Bhai(brother) Roka yahaan hai ya ladakee vaalo ke ghar pe?
RU: Jaivardhan ka plot haina Sabarmati ke kinaare vaheen par Roka hai!
DA(Darshan's aunt): Vahee pe toh unakee beti kee, unake bhateeje aur bhateejee kee Shaadi huee thee na?
RU: Haan wahi pe! 6 baje ka muhurat hai toh abhi sab jaldi ready ho jao. Hume muhurat se pehle waha pohochna hoga.
Jyugal: Darshan, tu kya pahanane wala hai?
Darshan: Shirt aur pant!
RU: Chalo club jaate hain aaj! Roka aur yeh sab toh hota hi rahega.
Darshan: Pappa, aap kya bol rahe ho?
RU: Toh shirt aur pant apne Roka mein kaun pahanta hai?
Darshan: Toh kya pahanu?
Esha(Darshan's cousin): Aapka outfit designer se aa gaya hai!
Darshan: Thik hai!
They all get ready and then, sit in the living room conversing.
On the other hand, Jaimi is sitting in front of her vanity looking at herself in the mirror after doing her hair. She wears her lehenga with the help of Ayesha and Meera.
Jaimi: I'm ready!
Ayesha: Makeup?
Jaimi: Meera, mera lip balm paas kar!
Meera: Which one?
Jaimi: Mein hamesha clear hi use karti hoon na.
Meera hands Jaimi the clear lip gloss which she applies a very minimum amount of. One can barely say that she has applied anything.
Ayesha: Makeup mein sirf lip balm hi?
Jaimi: Mein kabhi lip balm se zyada makeup use karti hoon?
Ayesha: Jee nahi par karna chahiye!
Meera: Kya lag rahi ho meri jaan?
