After arrival in Washington D.C. BTS and staff were at the hotel getting ready for a welcome party organized by the agency and collaboration artists. As Ha Yun had some free time before she needed to dress up, she went to check up on the members' progress. As she walked into the makeup room, she was greeted with a distressed Jin as well as equally stressed Mi Suk

"Noona, Jin doesn't want to get a haircut. He is being stubborn." said Mi Suk asking her to help make Jin agree to the haircut. She was not sure when, but it seemed the staff were now relying on her to help solve any problems with the members. Maybe her reputation of being direct with PD Bang was ahead of her.

"Jin, do you want a haircut?" she asked him in a calm voice.

"No!" He said with much defiance that she found refreshing.

"Why is it?"

"I like it long." He said with no room for negotiation. She sighed.

"Why do you want to cut his hair? He doesn't want it." She turned to Mi Suk for an answer.

"It is according to the tour concept. He has to comply." Mi Suk explained.

"So, making the tour look good is more important than Jin's happiness and self confidence?" she asked.

"Well, I don't know. I just follow the concept decided." She pitied Mi Suk who was clearly frustrated that she couldn't do her job well.

"Listen, leave Jin hair as it is. If anyone asks, tell them it is because of me. You already did your job." Mi Suk looked relieved that she won't get into any trouble and thanked her.

"Daebak! Noona." said a wide-eyes Jin with two thumbs up.

"Take this seriously. If I get into any trouble because of this I will give you an earful." she warned him as he settled to do his makeup happily.

She went out of the makeup room to look for the other members when she spotted Namjoon approaching in the distance. His midnight blue tailored suit which highlighted his broad shoulders and tall frame complemented his silver grey side-parted hair. His jacket was unbuttoned revealing his white shirt underneath. His hands were on his slim waist as he looked down as if examining his polished black shoes.

He was dressed like a knight before a battle. Ready to overthrow and subdue anyone just from appearance alone. All that visual appearance would fool anyone to cower in fear, drop in admiration or be stung in envy.

But not to her.

From afar, his usual carefree and confident gait was replaced with heavy and forced steps. A shadow of sadness loomed over and followed him. His grand appearance was just an armor for what he was hiding inside.

Then, he lifted up his head and saw her looking at him. Instantly, he smiled. A smile that didn't reach his eyes.

A persona.

This was his strong armored persona but she could see through this as he tried to hide his sadness with a smile.

"Are you okay?" She asked with a comforting smile.

"Uh good." He said promptly and walked to leave.

Lies.

That was a lie.

Why did he lie?

Did something happen?

Her heart tugged at her to stop his advance.

If she didn't hold on to him now, where would he go to look at his sadness?

Would he look at it at all?

Or would he bottle it up under his strong persona and only look at it when the tour was over?

Without a second thought she went after Namjoon and held his hand to stop his escape.

She felt the slight static shock from their touch and as she looked deep into his eyes, she saw IT.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

***What do you think about Jin's defiance? I am amazed of his tenacity to stick to his principle even with the limitation I guess the label and industry put on him.

***What did Ha Yun saw in Namjoon's eyes? (I am experimenting with cliffhangers...please be patient with me  (>_<)
