"Cyanide again?"

"Again?"

Napatingin si Ridan sa akin and shot his brows up at me. I hesitantly smiled before approaching him to answer his question.

"Remember when someone bended the time?" I asked, my mouth near his right ear.

"Kairos?" he asked.

"Oo. The woman who was supposed to be dead was poisoned with cyanide din. 'Yun kasi ang sabi ni Jack," I said at inilayo na ang sarili ko sa kanya.

"It's normal. A lot of people commit crime through poisoning," he explained habang nakatingin sa mga police na kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan ang pangyayari.

The room was filled with different police officers. Kakaalis lang ng forensics to examine kung saang banda nakalagay ang lason.

I directed my view sa pulisya and to the dead guy whose name was Vince. Surprisingly, kusang nag-aadjust na ang reflex ko sa sitwasyon. Medyo hindi na ako natatakot. We were a few distance away from the crime scene pero kitang-kita pa rin namin ang mga nangyayari.

"Let's go," Ridan said and looked at me bago pumunta sa direksyon ng mga pulis.

Nang makalapit na kami, I saw two girls and two boys talking to the police. We overheard one of the victim's friends speaking in front of the police.
