Chapter 15 - The Superior

"Arri, magpahinga naman tayo," I said and placed both of my hands sa tuhod ko.

"Tea, come on! We only jogged for like 30 minutes." Napatingin ako sa kanya na pinupunusan ang pawis sa noo.

Arri was wearing a white sports bra and a white jogging shorts paired with white rubber shoes. She looks effortlessly beautiful kahit medyo pawisan and here I am, haggard na haggard.

Hiyang hiya talaga ang P.E shirt at jogging pants ko noong senior high. Sayang naman kasi kaya ginagamit ko nalang for jogging. Matchy pa!

"Hindi na kaya ng powers ko," I said and panted. 

We stopped at the garden here in the academy, specifically sa tapat ng isang malaking flower clock. I stood up straight at tinignan ito nang mabuti.

The flower clock was very large, with its numbers and arrows made up with a very strong metal. Though we often passed by here upon jogging, ngayon ko lang talaga 'to natitigan nang maigi.

"Sige na nga, magpahinga muna tayo. But infairness, you're improving. The last time we jogged, 15 minutes lang ang kaya mo," she commented and stretched.

Napatawa nalang ako sa sinabi niya. Sino kayang hindi mag-iimprove kapag panay takbo lang ang ginawa namin sa isla ng mga sirens?

When the long hand pointed to 12, it indicated na alas singko na ng umaga. It created a loud noise to signal for the time and after 30 seconds, tumigil naman ito kaagad.

Medyo natagalan nga kami ni Arri simulan ang jogging. Kulang kasi talaga ang pahinga namin when we went back at the Olympus realm after the mission.

Arri suddenly clapped at parang may naalala bago nagsalita. "Let's jog back to the dorm?" 

Kumunot naman ang noo ko. "Ang aga yata natin babalik, Arri?"

"I told Sofie kasi na tayong dalawa ang gagawa ng breakfast," she said and excitedly showed me her smile.

Oo nga pala. Today's a weekend and during this day, hindi kami required na mag-almusal sa dining chamber.

"Really?" I beamed. Medyo happy ako kasi it means, hindi na kami lilibot dito sa academy.

Katamad at kapagod rin kaya.

"Yeah. And besides, we'll head out after lunch. Today's the official opening of the flower clock," Arri said at tinignan ito sa harapan namin.

May opening ceremony pala? Sana walang pasok for one week. Hehe. Tamad ko talagang estudyante.

"The offspring of Khloris, the goddess of flowers, will be conducting a speech," she said kaya napatango nalang ako.

Ang dami talagang deities tapos ang hirap pang kabisaduhin ang lahat. Need ko na talagang manghiram ng libro sa Greek mythology.

Makapunta nga sa room ni Sofie mamaya to borrow one. Also, I think it would be the perfect time to talk to her about the book na nakuha namin sa Library Tower.

The cruel sun is starting to bathe us with its rays and here I am, nasa isang shop dito sa loob ng academy named Estia.

According to Arri, the shop's name was derived from Hestia, the virgin goddess of hearth who was an Olympian before. Siya rin kasi 'yung deity who presided over the cooking of bread and preparation of family meal.

Estia is divided into two: the shop and the diner.

The moment you enter Estia, bubungad sa'yo ang samu't saring kainan which has the ambiance of the restaurant. Nasa likod naman ang shop which houses different food and cooking ingredients.
