"Sofie, hindi naman tayo mahuhulog, diba?"
Napatingin ako kay Tea na kasalukuyang nakadungaw dito sa wicker basket. We're on our way to Mt. Parnassus through this hot air balloon na pinahiram sa amin ni Pyr.
As I was holding the map to find the direction to the mountain, napatigil naman ako sa tanong ni Tea. So cute yet dense naman.
"Hala, ayun 'yung ang dorm natin. Ang liit tignan!" she excitedly squealed at pangiti-ngiti pa. I smiled at her reaction at nilayo ang tingin ko sa mapa.
"Hot air balloons work po because hot air rises," paliwanag ko naman sa kanya. I checked the compass in my pocket at tinignan ang paligid.
Tea and I are currently here at a large hot air balloon together with Ridan na patingin-tingin lang sa harap. We're inside the Misty Woods at kasalukuyang hinahanap ang daan namin.
Ridan, on the other hand, was tasked to navigate this huge balloon na seryosong-seryoso niya namang ginawa.
In short, he's the pilot now.
"Hot air is less dense than cold air that's why this thing flies po," I explained further. "It works through this burner." At tinuro ko 'yung nasa taas namin.
Napatingala naman si Tea sa burner ng hot air balloon. Propane fuel keeps this flying ship moving pero unlike any other fuels, this is an exception kasi ang ginamit naming fuel ngayon ay galing kay Pyr. After all, he's the son of Hephaestus who is the god of fire and Pyr's flames work extremely well.
Also, may adjustments din dito sa hot air balloon and that is the ability to steer this huge air ship. In normal hot air balloons kasi, hindi ka makakapilot from right to left and vice versa. Also, it is a given that Pyr did something to this balloon.
"Ridan, check for the wind speed po."
Tumango lang ito sa akin. Kinuha ko naman ang mapa and wrote notes like the wind speed, altitude, direction, etc. This is to secure our flight.
"Ridan, is the fog bearable po?"
Tumango pa rin ito sa akin. Tinignan ko naman ang paligid and although there's fog, medyo clear pa naman ang surrounding.
"Ridan, take note of the altitude po."
Tumango na naman ito sa akin. After that, he gave me his calculations and I wrote it again in the map.
Napatigil naman ako when I noticed how Tea giggled from behind me habang papalit-palit ang tingin sa aming dalawa ni Ridan.
"What po?" I asked, smiling at her.
Inayos ko naman ang buhok ko na natatabunan ng pink hoodie ko. Due to the wind kanina, my hair kind of went on a rampage at ngayon ko lang naisipang ayusin ito.
"Ang cute niyo! Ship ko kayo," she said and squealed.
Napatingin naman ako kay Ridan na wala ang atensyon sa amin before looking at Tea. I don't understand her kasi.
"Ship po? As in barko po?" I asked, not quite sure what she meant.
"Yes! Barko ko kayo at feeling ko lalayag na ito. Hihi," she said at tuwang-tuwa pa. I just gave her a smile at itinuon na ang atensyon ko sa paligid.
I admit, Tea can be really weird. Panay hehe, hihi lang ito sa amin which is kind of confusing. Although she's cute, I'll give it to her. And masaya rin naman siyang kasama.
"Feeling ko nga dumbbell lang ako dito, e. Busy kayo ni Ridan sa pagnanavigate nito ta's ako dito, tamang sightseeing lang," pagdadaldal niya.
"Come here po. You can write on the map. I will just dictate it to you po," I said.
