chapter 9 "that girl"

Lara Pov

when I got in class I was looking for Lisa so I could give back her jacket that is in my locker but she isn't here while we only have one minute till the teacher comes in.

" Your girlfriend is home working on her kitchen," Sofia said smirking at me. I blushed because of my dream.

" She isn't my girlfriend! she is my friend...I think," I said sitting next to Lea.

" We have to say she is sick to all the teachers," Lea said to me. I nodded my head and got my books out of my bag.

" Do you know where She lives?" I asked her.     

" Yes I know, Why?" She said laughing.

What should I say now?

" Uhm...Because she said that I could visit her and maybe I can help," I said looking at her.

" I will send you her address," She said getting her phone. 

" Thank you!" I said hugging her.

" no problem," She said hugging me with one arm.

I sat back to my seat and saw this girl behind me looking at me in a kinda rude way. Linn who sat next to me also looked behind and saw the girl. the girl made eye contact with Linn and smiled at her. 

" Hey Jamie, you coming to James?" Linn asked while the teacher came in.

I looked in front of me remembering that she annoyed Lisa.

( time skip)

School is over and I got to my locker getting her Jacket out of it. I closed my locker and saw Amanda walking towards me.

" Hey, Lara going home?" She asked me

" Yeah, you?" I  asked her walking to the exit of the school with her.

" We are planning to go shopping and then going to James' house helping him," She said.

" It's sad that You can't come," She said 

" yeah I really wanted to go but I have to take care of my little sister," I said. I don't know why but I felt quite uncomfortable feeling like someone is staring at me. I looked around and saw that girl Jamie again. She looked at me while another girl is talking to her.

" Hey, Lara!" Amanda said that made me snap out of my thoughts.

" What's wrong?" She asked me. I looked at Jamie again and she still looked at me.

" Uhmm. Nothing, I see you Monday," I said getting in my car.

" Bye La," She said going to Ricky's car.

I drove away to Lisa's apartment thinking about Jamie.

Lisa pov

I woke up at 7 and got out of my apartment with my pajamas on. I took the stairs down and then knocked on both the twin's door. as they live separated from each other.

the first one to open the door was Chris the oldest and then Ian the youngest. they both come from Poland and moved in here when I also just moved in as a young kid. 

"You ready Lisa?" Chris asked me. I nodded my head fast wanting to begin already. they both smiled at me and Ian got back to his room while Chris and I got to my apartment. 

" So the plan is to rebuild the kitchen first?" He asked me.

" Yes, here I already made a sketch of it," I said giving him the sketch.

" Ian thought you well," He said ruffling my hair.

I just smiled and then fixed my hair.

" Lisa put this on," Ian said coming in with working clothes.

" Thanks, Ian," I said going to my room and changed into the working clothes.

" So what are we going to do first?" I said walking out of my room.

" Well, first we are going, to begin with, demolishing and then clean," Ian said.

" We got a big garbage box outside of the apartment so we can put all the stuff in there," Chris said getting three axes. we started to break the kitchen. because of the noise, Alex came in and scolded us for not informing him, but as we always do we just ignore his nagging. Pablo also came by but then went away with Alex to the store.

after remolding we are now lifting big pieces and throwing it away walking the stairs. Rax is also here and sweep the dust and little pieces as Rina is doing some chores. after a while, we are still not done cleaning but Chris and Ian are looking at the pipes so they know if they need to replace a pipe or place more pipes. 

we all took a break as Brianna was giving us some food that she made for us. Brianna is a woman in her 30s and works at an office. she got divorced and is 8 months pregnant now. she just moved in here and we all welcomed her.

" So there is nothing wrong with the pipes and we only need to place two," Ian said looking at his iPad. Ian and Chris have their own little company that fixes stuff, remold stuff, and builds stuff. they have a large garage with all kinds of stuff and then a pretty big warehouse with some bigger stuff.

" If we work fast today we can maybe begin today by placing the pipes," Chris said eating his sandwich. 

" Wow, the food is delicious!" rax said jumping on his chair. Brianna smiled 

" I am happy to hear that!" She said pinching Rax cheek a little bit.

" Is there anything else I can help with?" She asked us.

" No Brianna thanks for making us lunch I really liked the sandwich you made," I said out of honesty.

" Aww, Thank you, sweetheart, if I could help you three with anything I am one floor up," She said walking out of the door.

" Okay boys I will clean up the rest," I said standing up sweeping the last little pieces in the bucket.

" And we will go to the garage getting the other stuff we need," Ian said putting his IPad in his bag. 

We all went downstairs, me with the full bucket. I throw the trash away and then went to their van. 

" Okay, we will come back soon try to get the place clean," Chris said. I nodded my head.

" Okay, The-- Lara what are you doing here?" I said walking to her
