chapter 11 " are we friends?"

Lara Pov.

I got a call from Maria saying that she will take care of Rebbeca so I can go to the party. I thanked her and hanged up. I looked around Lisa's room and saw nothing but a bed a desk and a closet, her room is pretty clean and her bed is literally a super big mattress with wood under it. I got to her desk and saw a lot of drawings. from the twins and other people. I got back to the living room and saw the three buckets empty and Lisa who just came back in the apartment.

" you threw the trash away," I said sitting on the couch.

" Yeah, and a few pieces of the wall," She said also sitting on the couch.

" You wanted to say something to me outside, do you remember?" She asked me. I think she meant before I saw the little kid.

" Yeah, Oh yeah!, I was saying... are we only classmates," I said looking away.

It was silent for a while probably the voices in her head started talking to her deciding if she should build a wall from me or take one down.

"...Or are we friends?" I asked after a good 2 minutes.

And again she was silent, the only thing you could hear was Brianna turning the shower off.

" Yeah, I guess we are...Friends,"  She said. I looked at her smilingly. eventually, she looked back at me.

" Why are--" Before she could finish I hugged her sitting on her lap. Being happy that I at least got to be friends with her. I broke the hug and got up.

" Sorry for that," I said sitting next to her. She just nodded her head sweating more.

" Lisa I am done!" We heard Brianna say. She got up and went to her room.

Lisa pov

Brianna called me and I got up fast going to my room. I took a few deep breaths and got a big shirt Rax could wear until Rina was back. I went to the bathroom and gave Brianna the shirt she put it on him and then we all walked out of the bathroom. I walked with Brianna back to her apartment and came back to my apartment. 

When I came in I saw Ian and Chris being busy with the pipes while Lara was playing with Rax. I got up to the twins and asked if I could help them. they both said no. I sat on the couch again next to Lara who is now watching tv with Rax.

" who was it on the phone?" I asked her.

" Oh it was Maria the maid she is taking care of my Little sister so I can go to the party," She said still watching the tv.

" Oh, Are you going?" I asked her.

" Nah, I am not in the mood to go," she said.

I nodded my head and also watched the tv. 

" You know when you talked about that girl called Jamie?" She asked looking at me.

" Yeah," I said paying attention to Spongebob.

" She stared a little weird at me," she said feeling uncomfortable talking about it.

" How did she stare at you?" I asked paying attention to her.

" Just weird, not happy but kinda mad, as I did something to her," she said looking down.

" Don't pay attention to her, when you feel like someone is staring at you just think it's her and ignore her, and maybe she will stop," I said looking at her. She nodded her head and looked at the time. 

" Hey, Lisa I thank you for taking care of Rax," Rina said walking in.

" Chris and Ian hello," She said and walked to us.

" why is Rax having your shirt on?" She asked me.

" He was playing in the container outside while I turned away," I said being selfish.

"Rax why-- Oh hello I am Rina, Rax is my son and I live on a floor under Lisa," Rina said smiling at Lara.

" Hello, I am Lara a friend of Lisa," Lara said also smiling at her.

" Rax let's go I will make some food for you, but first we will visit Brianna," Rina said lifting Rax up and walking out.

I also got up and walked to the twins.

" How is it looking?" I asked looking at them.

" We are done with the pipes and if you want we can work all night and get the fridge, the sink, the dishwasher, the stove, and the kitchen counter," Ian said looking at his IPad.

" I am now checking the electricity to see if all the power points work," Chris said.

" Okay then Lisa, help me get all the stuff out of the van, and it would be nice to get an extra hand," Ian said looking at Lara.

" Yeah, Of course, I will help," She said standing up. Ian walked out and I waited for Lara who is turning off the tv.

" You don't need to help you know, you can also go home if you want," I said as we were walking down the stairs.

" No, it's fine," She said.

I opened the door and we got out. Ian was already placing the sink and the tap carefully on the ground. New York does get cold in the evening as I saw Lara shivering, rolling her sleeves down.

I got the sink and walked back upstairs. while she followed behind me. in the meantime, Chris was already done with the electricity and placed the new powerpoints.

" Is everything alright with it?" I asked him placing the sink down slowly. 

" Yeah everything is good in this apartment complex the only thing is that it looks old and scary," Chris said laughing about it. I also laughed about it while Lara just smiled.

" I think the kitchen would be done fast," Ian said walking with stuff for the stove.

We all started to work till the night building the kitchen
