(If she wakes up before you)
Emma's POV

Y/N and I went to bed fairly late last night. Don't get any ideas. There was a storm last night that scared all of the younger children. It took Y/N a lot longer to calm this one down and I stayed up with him.

"Y/N?" I mumbled.

He stirred a bit and groaned, "Hmm?"

"It's time to get up hun." I whispered, placing my hand on his chest.

"Mmm, just a little bit longer."

With a sigh, he fell back asleep.

I huffed out a breath and got myself up. I slid the blanket off of both of us and straddled his waist. Placing my hands on either side of his waist. I sucked in a breath and placed my lips against Y/N's cold skin, blowing it all out.

With a jolt, he was awake pinning my hands down and holding me there.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to do that!"

"Well. If you would have gotten up the first time I said something, I wouldn't have."

He just let out a sigh of defeat, "Good morning."

"Good morning to you too." I smiled, giggling a bit and kissing his cheek as I got up, grabbing his hands and pulling him with me and kissing him for real this time.

Y

/N's POV

Now was a good time to do something special for Emma. She is still sleeping and she had a rough day yesterday. It was the anniversary of the day Abe left. I thought I would do something special for her this morning.

So, I got myself out of bed and looking presentable for today. Making my way down the stairs I stopped by Miss Peregrine's room.

"Uhm. Miss?"

"Yes Y/N?" She said, looking up from her desk.

"I was wondering if I could take Emma out for a picnic this morning for breakfast. She had a very unpleasant day yesterday and I thought I could try and make up for it."

"I'm not fond of the idea that you two will miss breakfast but I see that you love her very much and will allow it."

"Thank you." I smiled, walking away from her office and to the kitchen.

I began to make some simple things for us to eat, and I packed them into a basket. I quickly grabbed an old blanket on my way out the door. Once I made it over to the creek, I found the biggest willow tree I could and set up underneath it. Quickly blowing all of the leaves away with a gust of wind I laid the blanket down and added a few finishing touches. It almost looked magical. Drapes of lowly swinging branches around us, the sun shining through them every couple feet.

I sighed contently at my work and began my trek back to the house and up the stairs to wake Emma. Thankfully no one else was awake yet and I had a straight shot to Emma's room without having to do any explaining.

"Emma. It's time to wake up gorgeous." I whispered to her, cupping one of her cheeks. She stirred a little bit but fell back asleep soon enough. "Hey. Come on love it's time to wake up. Come on. Beautiful. I love you and spending time with you so if you could please wake up. I have something to show you." Emma's eyes slowly opened and she smiled at me. "Good morning."

"I love you too." She giggled.

"Come on. You get dressed and I will meet you by the front door." I explained. She nodded and I walked out of her room. Going to wait for her. The biggest grin across my face.
