Miranda's POV

Nagsisimula nang umikot ang rotor blades ng private chopper na nasa di kalayuan pero hindi pa din ako kumikilos para lumapit doon at sumakay.

I don't want to leave the island... What I really wanted is to hold my daughter in my arms. But that would be selfishness. I need to give her time to process everything. Hindi ko masisisi si Dollar kung kamumuhian niya ako at hindi na mapapatawad...

But I hope someday she will let me in her life again, kahit hindi na bilang si Teresa na ina niya kahit bilang si Miranda na lang na kaibigan niya. I looked up at the sky and wished that.

Unti-unting bumagal ang pag-ikot ng rotor hanggang tuluyang patayin ng piloto ang makina ng chopper. Naisip siguro na hindi naman ako nagmamadaling umalis.

"Are you disappointed in me?"

Marahan akong umiling. "No, I'm not." I answered honestly.

Hindi rin ang dating totoong kopya ng DNA result ang napunta kay Dollar dahil matagal ko ng inalis ang mga ebidensya. But Rion managed to produce the same copy with the same result but hide my name. Si Vaughn ang naglagay ng dokumento sa kotse ni Dollar.

"It was late but I want to say sorry, hijo. I owe you too much. Handa mong ibigay ang buhay mo para sa anak ko pero anong ginawa ko... I bound you to that stupid deal."

Namulsa ang binata at tumanaw sa malayo. "I'd like to think that the deal didn't happen. Hindi man ako ang nagtapat kay Dollar ng tungkol sa 'yo ay parang ganoon na din ang ginawa ko dahil sa pagbibigay sa kanya ng clues. So I broke my word to you that was never said in the first place."

"And by doing all that you made me realize that this is the right thing to do, that this is the best time to reveal myself to her." Inihanda ako at tinulungan ng mga pahiwatig na ginawa niya para harapin si Dollar. "Kung hindi mo siguro iyon ginawa ay bibilang pa ng maraming taon bago ko kayaning magtapat kay Dollar o baka hindi na... If that happens then I'm making the gravest mistake of my life. I can never thank you enough."

"Of course you can, Ma'am. You can pay me by visiting us here again at the end of the month."

"I-I don't know. Maybe Dollar will be mad at me for long..." The thought is breaking my heart but it was my fault.

Rion smiled his boyish smile. "Then you really need to bond with her so you'll get to know her more."

Napatingin ako sa kanya, sandaling natigilan at napangiti. "You're right. I will need that." My heart yearns for that moment. Kahit alam kong mahirap patawarin ang ginawa ko ay umaasa pa din akong mangyayari iyon. In my heart of hearts I know that my daughter cannot harbor hatred to anyone.

Lumapit ako kay Rion at marahang tinapik ang balikat niya. "I know I don't need to remind you to take care and love my daughter, I'm sure you're doing those things since we can remember."
