Turning three years old, my dark hair tied up in childish braids. Everything is colorful. Everything is bright. Everything is amazing. I stare at the chocolate cake marking the number 3 while everyone sings the birthday song to me. I feel like a superstar, everyone's attention is focused on me, people are taking pictures like paparazzi and giving me gifts like fans.
"Haaappyyy Biirrthdaayy Tooo Yooouuu"

My first day of school, nervous and anxious. I feel sick as I cling to my mom like a baby monkey on the highest tree. We are separated when I'm pushed into a chair next to another girl. Her blonde hair in two ponytails, her sapphire eyes beaming at me and her smile wider than her head. Now we're best friends. We both say in out childish voice
"We'll be best friends forever"

My first holiday, full of excitement. I feel the sun's rays on my fair skin. I lay on the sunbed, in front of the pool, bluer than the sky above. I'm smiling as I hear a scream, a loud splash that catches my attention. My mom floating on top, wiping her eyes, flipping her soaked hair out of her face. I realized she had accidently fallen in. I'm laughing, my mouth wide open. Mom is laughing too as she uses her strength to pull herself out.
"Best day ever!"

All my memories are visiting me at once. I'm happy, joyful, ecstatic, content. I feel alive. Then I see fire. Flames dancing in the wind. Then a loud bang.

My eyes flutter open like a butterfly. I see white. I'm in a room. Next to me is a beeping monitor and I realize... it's all over.
