Episode 5: Familiar Visit

"Ne, Odasaku. Is there anything you can't do?"

"Knowing how to cook is normal, Yuko." He replied.

"Heh...so, I'm not normal then?"

I continued to watch Odasaku cooking from the side. He was focused on finishing the curry and so I decided to shut up for the moment.

Odasaku likes curry.

No, he loves it.

After I went home, I gave him the curry set from the lottery and without any second thought, he decided to cook it.

"Old man told me he'll be out for three days, it's your day off?" He asked as we went to the table.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Do you have some plans?"

Plans, huh?

Is it just me? Because I feel like whenever I'm out in Yokohama, I keep encountering strange people.

"Now that I think of it, I do have some plans. Why do you ask?"

"Nothing."

I frowned at his attitude.

He keeps on asking yet he's not telling me why. Maybe he's keeping track of me?

"If you're going somewhere then bring this with you." He added before laying something on the table.

It was a gun.

I did told him about my encounter last night. The robbers and the gunmen, also about Nakahara Chuuya. Odasaku wasn't really surprised at all, nor was he mad.

His reaction was normal so I thought it wasn't something special.

"You want me to kill someone, Odasaku?" I said, joking.

"Idiot. It's for your protection, just in case you're caught again in a mafia business." He said.

Heh. I'm already caught, Odasaku. Ever since I came into your house...

I picked up the gun and examined it.

"What makes you think I know how to shoot?" I asked.

Odasaku glanced at me and then down to my hands.

"You have a good arm. You're trained with guns..." He replied boredly.

He can tell? Good one.

But wait...isn't he suspicious of me, then?

"You have good eyes, Odasaku. But...what makes you think I won't use it to you?" I said with a smile as I pointed the gun to him.

He didn't flinched. He just looked at me impassively and leaned closer to the gun instead.

"Go ahead and try." He said with a smug tone.

Tch.

My eyebrows twitched and I quickly pulled the gun back. He looked victorious afterwards.

I wonder where he learned such ungodly tricks.

Our relationship is normal...well, above normal. We're already comfortable with each other despite the lackness of one's identity, weird isn't?

I didn't expected us to become like this though. But somehow...I feel happy.

"I trust you...though I'm sure you won't be needing it." Odasaku added.

"You trust me, Odasaku?" I said a bit surprised.
