Episode 48: Back on Tracks

I groaned as the sunlight was already hitting between the curtains. "Dazai, get up...it's past 7..."

Turning my back, my face instantly hit Dazai's chest which returned me to my senses. His arms then smoothly pulled me into a snuggle.

"Dazai...work..." I reminded.

"Hmm. Let me sleep, Yuko-chan...I'm exhausted."

The nerve of this guy...

If it's only possible to send him to his eternal sleep, I would've already done so.

After Shibusawa's huge fiasco or what they called now as the 'Dead Apple' case, most of the Agency's work somehow doubled because of the aftermath. Thanks to that, Dazai got even lazier than he already is.

My life has been normal so far.

Well, depends on what I consider normal. 

I come and go in the Agency to help, and what's worse is that it's me who's doing all of Dazai's paperwork. 

Him, exhausted?

Talk about being a gentleman.

"I'll hit you if don't get up now. I'll make sure you'll sleep forever."

"Give me a morning kiss-"

"Ha?"

Dazai groaned like a child and kept giggling on his own like an idiot.

"Cold as usual, huh? Heh, it's alright. We'll work on that..." He then said with a dramatic effect.

After several kicks and threats, Dazai finally decided to go to work. I even have to toss him inside the bathroom just for him to shower. But it's not like he reeks, he still smells good --- I mean normal. 

But having a shower is still a must, you know?

"Dazai, why are you bringing me again with you? I already finished your work, dumbass. Be grateful." I said as we both entered the Agency's office.

"Why not? It's not like you have other plans, right?"

"Well, not really."

"Then it's fine. It's better this way so I can watch over you."

I sighed.

Ever since I woke up after the conflict, Dazai has been all over me --- like he's being paranoid that I'll disappear again.

Though I wish he'd give me some time on my own or with others, too, I couldn't complain since it's my fault.

If we keep on staying close to each other, I doubt that our faces would soon swap, for sure.

"Hm? Where's Atsushi-kun and Kyouka-chan?"

We arrived at the Agency and basically, everyone was out for their own missions. The ones only left are the siblings and Kunikida-san. 

"They said someone left a note for them to find something. So I allowed them to investigate what it was..."

"In the meantime, Dazai! You're coming with me. A cruise ship's been hacked earlier, the police have asked for our aid."

"Eh~ Don't wanna. Sounds boring to me." Dazai was already complaining the moment we arrived.

"Then, Tsushima?" Kunikida then turned towards me. 

Sure, I'm definitely not interested.

I've had enough of work and investigation, and I'm not even an employee here.
