"you've always been a cry baby Darlington" a lean tall boy said, leaning against the stair way. His striking black hair was packed in a low pony tail while he had a fitted body hug green top on and a pair of right jeans. The boy - I mean man, looked into Darlington's eyes as he made his comment.

"Damian!" Darlington said excitedly pulling himself away from Lyn and into his older brothers open arms.

"Woah there darl. I see you're excited" his brother said and Darlington just rubbed his head into his brothers top.

"Damian!" Dorothy said hugging them both. Damian chuckled at his siblings. As his parents walked in, they had sad smiles but it turned into proud ones after their eyes met his. "Mom, dad" he said curtly bowing his head slightly to show respect.

Mrs Beatrice took this as an opportunity to call Josephine and ask her where she was. "Darlington! Josephine wants to talk to you!" Mrs Beatrice said happily hoping to cheer him up, but he turned around, anger in his eyes.

"I don't want to talk to her!" anger lacing his voice... Mrs Beatrice sighed. She shook her head but it felt like she should be more concerned about her son's health than his unhealthy relationship

"Lyn darling could you take him up stairs?" Mrs Beatrice said to Lyn who couldn't help but feel like she was being accepted. "I'm so sorry dear. He lost at the first round and..." There was no response. "Hello?" She somehow couldn't help but pray that Josephine was ok.

Lyn motioned for Darlington to follow her but Damian stopped her "I'd take him don't worry" Damian said with a sweet smile as he held Darlington delicately by the shoulder and helped him up the stairs. Lyn felt anger at the pit of her stomach. She was uncomfortable.

"I'd be going then Ms." She said with a small smile and Beatrice returned the smile. Dorothy yawned sleepily as she hugged her parents good night and made her way to her room. She was worried yes but Darlington made it clear that he wasn't in the mood to talk. And she knew being persistent would only make it worse. It was a good thing Damian came at this point in time.

Darlington and Lyn walked to class, talking about their final year in highschool. It had to be awesome right? Darlington ignored a bright smile as he walked in. The smile just turned a bit sad as he took his seat ignoring her warm gaze. He was angry at her right? Very angry. Josephine sighed as Lyn and Darlington continued to talk about what they'd put on for the graduation.

Josephine tried her hardest to ignore the ache in her chest as Alicia walked proudly to her best friends side to keep her company.

During lunch, Josephine pulled Darlington into the janitors closet. He felt heat and Sparks where she held him and she smiled. His heart began beating as fast as it could, being that close to her still had that effect on him after almost half a year. Josephine felt the familiar racing of her heart against her rib cage. She put him against the wall. The space between them was evident.

"What do you want?" Darlington questioned trying to sound as uninterested and bored as possible. It worked cause Josephine felt physically defeated. She looked down at him. Then cleared her throat.

"Uhm..... How are you?" She asked taking her hands from the wall beside him. He visibly relaxed.

"I was better before being pulled into this place" he scoffed and Josephine sighed.

She squatted and sat on the floor by the side of the door. "That's good to know" was all she could muster. "Uhm.... How was your competition?" She asked with a low chuckle trying to lighten the mood. She shouldn't have.

"Why do you care? You promised to show up but didn't without any explanations!" He said clenching his fist, his lips shaking slightly and his face red.

"I'm-" she was saying but he cut her short.

"You're sorry? You're busy? What is it? My mum had to call you! You couldn't even call!" He was furious. She wanted to calm him down but it seemed like if she said something it'll be wrong.

She stood up and stood directly in front of him, the intensity of his gaze, the way his black pupil dailated and became bigger despite his hard gaze. She leaned in towards him.... Slowly and steadily, his erothic breathing seemed to calm down as their lips drew nearer.

The bell rang shaking Darlington out of the hypnotic trance and he shook his head disappointed at her. He walked past her and through the door slamming it like he was the only one who had been there. Josephine felt a sting in her heart and her head began to hurt. She walked out trying her best to maintain whatever coolness she had left. I mean, it was going well till sports practice. The ball came right at her and she didn't move, it missed her by a hair. And that force was all it took for Josephine to go on her knees, then lay down flat.

"Get the nurse!" Sebastian was the first to shout out as he leaned over her picking her up cautiously even though she weighed slightly as much as he did. Josh ran to take his cousin from his mates hands as Almond helped open the doors to make way. That was a drastic turn of events.

Josephine was playing basketball after school. She was frustrated. She couldn't get back on the games and she was out of it. She didn't have time for much and she felt a strange urge bubbling inside her. She wanted to hold someone. Kiss someone. But it wasn't like Darlington would be comfortable with her doing any of those things to him.

Josephine sighed when a wicked grin crossed her face. Alicia was still in school. She could tease her a bit. Alicia could calm her down. Josephine dropped the ball and ran towards the classroom.

"Hey" she said seductively, leaning against the door and Alicia rose her head up to look at her. She was beautiful. "damn you're beautiful" she breathed and Alicia felt her cheeks heat up.

"Hey love" Alicia breathed dropping her book to face her best friend. After a little talk Josephine stopped abruptly "God, he's beautiful" she said and Alicia found herself shocked and gaping at her friend.

Josephine grinned like she hadn't just said anything and pulled her best friend closer by the waist. "You're beautiful" she whispered to her best friend tucking a lose strand behind her ear. Josephine laughed a bit at how stiff and red she had become.

"Relax, I'm just teasing you." She said letting go of her. Alicia's heart didn't stop racing even though Josephine had put some distance between them.

"So what? Just a tease am I?" Alicia asked with an eye roll that Josephine couldn't see because she had her back to her. Josephine chuckled.

"Everyone is a tease to me love, you know it." Josephine said, turning around, resting against a desk slightly.

Alicia seemed to look past Josephine."even Darlington?"

Josephine chuckled deeply. She felt heat creep up her cheeks. Her heart picking pace. Even just the mention of his name could make her feel this way. "Yes. That's how-" she was saying when Alicia cut her short.

"So what? Bad girl player fell for a geek with glasses? Oh wait, he isn't even that good at maths. Bad girl player fell for a loser" Alicia said. Josephine slammed her fist on the desk silencing her.

"Don't you-" a sound of a tray hitting the floor made Josephine turn her gaze to see Darlington looking as shocked as ever. What made him turn and run? How could she be so calm when Alicia was talking about him like that? A tease huh?
