A/N : Thank you~ to whoever took the time to read this complete mess of a book. Over 100 reads already in a few days, so thank you!

Y/N

After the scare we had from the battle, I don't think anyone would've been exactly the same, and I was right. My class and I had gotten to the point where I'd finally convinced them not to fuss over me, as I was completely fine, with the exception of two scars on my backside. However, the battle at the USJ had scarred us all in a some way or another. Everyone was working and training harder than ever, pumped up from surviving the villain attack (I guess she technically did die for a bit but hey it's a fictional world and the author declares she died and came back to life).

Fortunately, the changes were positive, for the most part. Some people in particular still glanced at me with worry once in a while, but I'd just smile and shake it off. I also called the Pussycats and Kota when sometime after I recovered, as they'd gotten worried when Dad informed them about my state while I was in comatose. Kota was upset at me of course, but nobody had let him know about the details of how I'd died, since he was still just a kid after all so after a bit of scolding from the small boy, he'd muttered, 'Don't do it again', before leaving the call. I'd also gotten closer to my class and we became more of a whole. With the exception of Mineta, of course (Sorry Mineta fans..?). I got to know Deku, Iida, and Uraraka better of course, but I became friends with most of the rest of the class too, mainly because we began interacting more after the fight.

And now here we were. Class 1A of UA Hero Academy, sitting in the waiting room as we awaited to be called on for the opening ceremony. I was excited, twiddling my thumbs together until I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Um.. Y/N? You're glowing again," Deku informed me, and I immediately started blushing, attempting to rein in my emotions but failed, the faint yellow glow becoming a bright red.

"Oops.. haha, sorry about that Deku," I tell him as he shielded his eyes, taking them off when I finally stopped glowing.

Then out of the blue, "Midoriya." It was Todoroki, who'd been standing behind us.

"What is it,Todoroki-kun?"

"Objectively speaking, I believe it's safe to say that I'm above you in terms of practical strength," he stated bluntly.

"Wha? Ah.. uh.. yea." Deku managed to stutter out.

"You've managed to get All Might's eyes on you. I'm not going to pry into that, but.. I'm going to beat you.

I gulped I'm unison with the boy beside me, when I heard Kaminari say something.

"Oh? A declaration of war from the one of the strongest in the class?"

"Hey, what're you doing? Don't spring this on him right before-" Kiri was cut off.

"I have no idea what you want from me, telling me that," he responded, trembling slightly. "You're definitely stronger than me. You could probably easily beat the majority of our class too."

'Ouch. That hurt, Deku hunny.'

"C'mon Midoriya, don't be so negative now..." Kiri chirps, only to be cut out again.

"Even so..!! Everyone, all the kids in the other departments are going to do their best today. I won't let myself lag behind! So I'm going to do my best too.. and I'm going to win."

"I see." Was all he said before walking out. That was when I'd noticed it was time. We followed behind him, making our way to the large stadium crowded with people. 'Oh wow...'

"Welcome to the UA SPORTS FESTIVAL!!!" Mic screamed, "Where the eggs of the hero world go for each other's throats.. and the top!! You all know who you're here to see today.. the freshman class that fought off a hoard of villains with wits of steel, Class 1A!!!"
