Y/N

I made my way up to the stands along with the rest of 1A as we waited for the first battle to commence. I was pretty nervous, but excited to see how the outcome would play out. Uraraka and Iida were with me, chatting about how they thought the match would end up leading to.

"I really hope Deku can win!" Uraraka told us.

"I'm sure he's very capable, but you mustn't underestimate his opponent either," Iida responded, to which I just nodded.

A mere few minutes later, it was the start of the match. I felt.. conflicted, to say the least. It seemed Shinso was trying to engage Deku in a conversation, but the latter kept his mouth shut.

'Did he find out about his quirk? If that's the case, Shinso doesn't have a chance.' I sighed.

Then suddenly, anger was painted across the greenette's features, and he yelled something out before his face was wiped clean of all emotions.

'Oh no..'

Deku turns around and begins walking slowly towards the edge of the stage, and I can hear Mic questioning over the announcement system what he was thinking. On one hand, I felt kind of bad for Deku who'd barely done anything before falling under Shinso's trance. On the other hand, I thought that Shinso's quirk was really cool and would be amazing for hero work and defeating villains without violence.

Just as he was about to reach the edge of the stage, he stopped. All of a sudden there was a blast of wind that flew dust everywhere. After it subsided, I could barely make out that his fingers had been broken.

'He activated One For All? That's amazing! But Shinso..'

The indigo haired boy looked shocked, before attempting to engage another conversation with Deku. The injured one rushes towards him and grabs Shinso, trying to drag him out of bounds. He punches his face and injured fingers, causing Deku to lose his grip on the other boy. Determined, he gets back up and successfully pushes Shinso out of bounds.

'He did it, but.. Shinso...'

I wanted to let him know that he'd done a good job, while also wanting to congratulate Deku.

"Shinso! Your quirk is really amazing, you're gonna be an amazing hero one day, got it?!" I screamed from the top of my lungs, smiling when I noticed his neck snap up in my direction. He gave me a faint smile, and I noticed other pro heroes in the crowd shouting similar comments.

I looked around for Deku but when I didn't see him, I'd just assumed that he'd already gone to Recovery Girl to heal up. I decided I'd just congratulate him later.

A few minutes later, Todoroki and Sero took the stage. I noticed that the former boy looked a little.. distraught? He looked frustrated, upset and conflicted all at once, a feeling I knew all too well.

Midnight announced the start of the battle, and in a split second ice shot upwards from the main stage, reaching all the way to the stands.

"Sero, can you move?" Midnight asked, clearly rhetorical.

"N-n-no.."

"Sero has been immobilized, Todoroki wins!" She announces, as Todoroki stalked over to Sero and lifts his left arm, melting the ice around the shivering boy. He looked almost.. sad. By this point I noticed Deku had come back from Recovery Girl's office.

"Ah! Congratulations on your win, Deku,' I told him brightly, turning my head away from the stage.

"T-thanks Y/N.. I really didn't think I'd be able to win once his quirk activated on me,' he mused.
